Still losing as much as ever, but games are great!

I have a few young players that just cant hit well. But the veterans do what they're supposed to do. I wish i had results this realistic with a better team! But sticking it out with my Rangers.

Last time I checked Indians IRL average is 255 I believe (or close to) and I’m hitting 253 in the game. It really is spot on

Fenway and Nolan. Sorry if it’s been posted I’ve been MIA for a bit with this set. Did you guys ever settle on 2 or 3 CPU contact? Thank you in advance. I always get frustrated and go to HOF. Then I realize how much better Legend is. So I’m back [emoji23][emoji24]

Haha. I only recently went to 2 Contact, so i dont have enough sample size to go off of. If i was just basing it on "feel", and what numbers i do have, i would say i am liking it better. I believe Fenway has a few more games to play to get to 30 games with 2 Contact, then i think he is planning on giving that update.

I have had to move a couple of things to adjust for Analog, but i am not too far off.

One thing i noticed, is that CPU misses went up when i bumped my consistency to 2. I didn't expect to see that, i figured that would be more of a Control (pitch effectiveness) slider effect, but it made a huge difference. I also get hit harder with lower consistency, so i am experimenting with cpu power/solid hits tweaks as well.

Edit: again typing while Fenway posts. Lol. I see thay he definitely likes 2 and i plan on sticking there as well!

Back at it tonight. I have a couple new scores posted to the spreadsheet. Finished up my series with Cubs by taking 2 of 3.

I am so glad the Cubs are in my division because I HATE THEM. They must be the most ridiculously OP team in the game and the game tried every dirty trick in the book against me, but I still held them off. I had my first ejection of the season. I might have plunked Kris Bryant twice in a row...maybe.

Don’t feel bad for him though as he then parked a mammoth hr on the very first pitch of his next at bat to extend his 22 game hitting streak! Sheesh.

I indicated earlier that I prefer CPU contact 2. These games have just been stellar other than Legend shenanigans. So much variety and just plain entertaining games to play.

The inter-division tour continues as I now head into St. Louis and (after an odd homestand with the Dodgers) off to Wrigley to battle the hated Cubs.

St. Louis is not quite as low-dollar as Chicago, so with my ace on the mound I was able to give a strong performance in the first of four games. If there is any "that guy" it is probably Dexter Fowler but I kept him mostly in line.

The was one remarkable play that I just had to laugh about. With a runner on second, Fowler smack one off of my pitcher. The ball then deflected midway between third and home. BOTH my pitcher and catcher converge on the ball. The runner from second sees this and rounds third and just keeps on running. I try to throw the ball home, but nothing happens because NOBODY IS COVERING HOME PLATE. St Louis scores a cheapie.

The other night i was in desperate need of a double, at least, with 2 outs late in the game.

So im down by few runs. Chirinos leads off with a HR. Mazara hits a double. With one out he moves to 3rd. I need to at least score that run. Thats my goal. Odor pops up. 2 outs. Guzman up. He smashes a line drive down the first base line. Should be an RBI double. But the line drive hits the first base bag, and pops straight up into the air. The pitcher runs over and makes a shoestring catch, at the exact moment the runner is running by him. Where the ball is caught by the pitcher is right where my batters back foot is, so it is a tag-out. That double just turned into inning over.

Won game 2 vs the Swingin A's. They did some swingin, but not much hittin.

Wind was blowing in hard, and the only ball that even threatened to leave the yard was a Gallo fly ball that on any other night would have been an easy HR.

After scoring 2 in the second inning and then none in the next 10 innings I decided to shake things up a bit and fire my hitting coach as well as my pitching coach for good measure. Hired a couple of top-tier coaches to step in and lead the pirates up the division before it gets away.

It was another great game, by the way.

Wow. My team has apparently respknddd to the firing of the batting coach by putting up five runs on three hits (including a two-run double by Moran) three walks and a sac fly.

Let’s see now how the new pitching coach does...

Man, the CPU is such a baby when they are trailing...I hung on 11-8 after a barrage from the Cardinals that included two doubles , two triples (really three since one was avoided due to a throwing error), three home runs and two sac flies! Every division win counts though. I will take it.
