I dont use the PCI (i used it so much in the past that i can still 'see' it) but i do use the feedback, which i think is important to look at. In real life, players have a good idea of exactly where the ball hit the bat, and will even use the mark on the bat to know exactly what happened. The feedback is our version of that.

I dont know exactly what could be going on with the PCI on yours. I did notice some funky things right after release, but one of the early patches must have fixed it. It did feel more sensitive as far as the up/down movement for early/late swings, but it doesnt seem as exaggerated to me now. I also noticed, and i believe even posted about it, left/right movement right after release, which seems to have gone away with some patch.

(I cannot speak for the latest patches, so whether it re-introduced some odd PCI movement that seemed to be fixed before, i dont know. I suppose since they did change the PCI a couple of times, it is possible they could have adjusted how it moves as well?)

I think timing up one wouldnt be too bad. It might give you the extra pop to increase your doubles output. My only concern would be increasing your Home Run rate too much, but given you are only at one per game, it could help that too.

The thing about your stats, is you are only missing one hit per game to getting close to where the real life pirates are. The other odd thing about your stats is all of those 13 extra hits need to be doubles. If you had one more double per game your hit type percentages would be approximately 1B 62%, 2B 21%, 3B 4%, HR 12%.

Of course we are talking about a very small sample size of 13 games, so things are likely to change anyway. But since we are mainly talking about the PCI i think timing up one may help.

Another option would be to lower both pitch speeds to 4. I think that could help as well.
Good stuff! Yeah, I feel like I am due for a doubles barrage at some point soon, but this could be lack of power due to PCI timing issues. I ran through with these settings when I tested them so I am assuming a balance is coming.

Did you bump timing up for that last game? If so, how did it feel?

Something still not right. Total power outage it seems, it is is mostly timing related. I have basically had the same hitting approach forever now, so pretty confused as to why the sudden struggles. Might be pressing but something really feels different since 1.10.

Regardless I press on and will post more scores tonight.

Channeled my inner panda, shut off the mechanism, and just swung away and it seemed to help as I swatted three doubles and a couple homers to take it out Miami and head home. Felt good to put together a full game on both sides of the ball.

I even kept Justin Boar at bay. Whoever built the hybrid sliders must have a poster of him above his bed because that guy is stupid dangerous at the plate.

Got some morning ball in. Had a walk-off in game one and Taillon got knocked around in game 2.

CPU singles are now starting to creep up a bit and the hit type percentages are rounding into form. I really like how the CPU is scoring their runs and I have had very few “magic rallies” by them to this point. Everything from hit percentages to BABIP to pitch ratios feels really solid at this point and I am very happy with the results.

A lot of the HUM stats are my own doing. My mini slump really skews the data with such a small sample size, but these should be stabilizing within another 10 games or so. I do enjoy my scoring plays though, and BABIP is trending upward. Strikeouts are also stabilizing.

I’m interested in these but curious how they’d work with directional [emoji848]

Up in Seattle for a couple days to check out the real Sox. Back in action with more scores soon! Let me know if you have given these sliders a go. I am curious how they play out for others.

Nice. I went up there last year to watch the Rangers play. Pretty nice park. I will be back up there in August, although the Rangers wont be there.

Speaking of Safeco, there was a glitch in 16 or 17 that you could leave the park in Replay mode. I went down the same streets in the game as i did when i walked around Seattle. My hotel and parking garage were even there. You could even go out onto the Seahawks football field. I probably spent an hour exploring around the Stadium lol.

Thanks for the update though so i can stop looking at the spreadsheet to check for new stats haha

I’m about to give these a shot Fenway. I’ll be using directional tho. I’m mashing HOF and getting destroyed on Legend and this seems to be a good middle ground just from looking at what you have everything set at

So obviously one game is the smallest sample size possible but it felt great. I was worried about the HRs at 7 for cpu but I shut the mariners out 4-0. Kluber went 8 innings threw 111 pitches, allowed 7 hits a walk and struck out 9. Collectively I had 8 hits. Lindor hit a HR and Eric Gonzalez hit a HR as well. I only made one change to the sliders and that was pitch speed I’m doing 6/6. I’m actually very excited to use these for my franchise.

That’s great! Thanks for giving them a go, I appreciate it.

Definitely go around the rotation once or twice and your pitchers should feel more mortal.

I should be jumping in tonight for a game. We’ll see if a couple days off resets my timing a bit.

Game two in the books. Carrasco scared me in the 1st. Dee Gordon got an infield single,Cruz got a hit and cano blasted a 3 run shot to put me down 3-0 in the first. Those were the only runs given up tho as carrasco ended up with 7ip 6 hits allowed and 6 ks with a walk. I was down 3-2 in the 8th and zimmer hit a 2 run homerun to make it 4-3. Miller shut down the 8th and Cody Allen just about blew the game in the 9th. Would of striking out Haniger with the bases loaded for the final out.

Aaannnnnd the angels dropped 11 on me. Lol. Man I like these sliders a lot. I like how the cpu can actually hit a HR off you. Other sets the cpu would hit one HR it seemed every couple games. The variety has been nice too. Kluber carrasco and Bauer dominated, Salazar on the other hand was completely rocked for 7 ER and 9 hits allowed.

Yes, the computer is completely lethal if you hang up pitch or show a pattern to your pitches. I like that they don’t always result in a home run though, I see them hit plenty of doubles and the occasional triple if you hesitate in the outfield getting the ball in. For the most part (not always) it makes sense when and why the CPU went yard, which I like.
