Road trip mercifully comes to an end with yet another loss. This one was my first on my gaming monitor so I was early on everything from hitting to hitting the pitching line, which meant I was leaving a lot of balls up. I think I am going to really like it once I get the feel for it though.

Road trip mercifully comes to an end with yet another loss. This one was my first on my gaming monitor so I was early on everything from hitting to hitting the pitching line, which meant I was leaving a lot of balls up. I think I am going to really like it once I get the feel for it though.

Its funny because every time I’m starting to think about switching a slider one way or another I get a dose of reality. Example. My Baltimore serious I destroyed them, 4 game sweep, 12 home runs and scored a total of 31 runs. Then I have a two game homestand vs the cubs and get 6 hits and 1 run total between two games. These sliders honestly need zero changes to anything. Everything evens out even when you think something is overpowering or not powerful enough.

FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders

I’m in a major slump now. Can’t seem to get more than 6-7 hits in a game in the past few games. I have Paxton next too which doesn’t help matters. I’ve finally signed my first free agent, Hanley Ramirez. I’m going to platoon him and Alonso at first base because Alonso is awful vs lefties and I can’t even deal with it anymore. Sadly that resulted in me sending rajai Davis to AAA which killed me inside bc he actually leads the league in steals right now and also because he’ll always hold a place in my heart for his game 7 heroics against Chapman lol. But it had to be done!

Hi TripleCrown. I do also have slider set for HOF in the vault as well as a thread here for them. Can’t remember off of the top of my head the exact slider setup, but I do know they play very very well. Check them out!

Hey Fenway, how’s opponent average for you? It’s been about a week since we all talked about it. I’m torn between cpu timing at 0 or 1. Oddly it seems to make quite a difference

Doing fine. Averaging about 9.3 hits against me and .260. I have to say that the gaming monitor is helping my pitching quite a bit while my hitting is suffering. I simply cannot hold back my swing any longer and am early on practically everything. If only hitting had a meter line for timing like pitching did!

I am getting 7.2 k’s at timing one so pretty happy right where it is. But if the computer were going crazy on me it would probably be the first thing I would adjust

Back at it. Been a few days since i could play.

Colon gave up a grand slam with 2 outs in the 4th which made it 7-0 Blue Jays. I didnt have a hit against Estrada until the 5th inning. I scored a run that inning, and another in the 6th to make it 7-2. Bottom 9th i score 4 runs to make it 7-6 I had the tying run on 3rd and winning run on 1st with 1 out. I hit a fly ball to left but not deep enough to even try to score. Beltre at the plate, ended up popping up to end the game.

Thanks for taking the time to share those. I would say those a pretty close for only being 10 games in. They will only continue to settle in from here. I bet those extra base hits settle down a bit once player fatigue becomes a factor. Any concerns?

Really my only concern so far (if i had to pick one) would be the Doubles. Mainly because I've had trouble in some other iterations of the Show with too many doubles, and i dont really want to have that. MLB average has been approximately 1.7 per game, and close to 20%, as you know.

The good thing is this is such a small sample, anything could happen. If only 3 of those doubles had been singles, i would be at 20.7% and 1.7 per game, which is exactly where the Rangers have been. So actually it is not even a concern as of right now.

Pitching and CPU hitting is still up in the air, because i had an inordinate amount of games with inflated numbers, so it will definitely take more games to see where the numbers start settling. The games i have played where that didnt happen felt very realistic.
