Making a slider set
I'm trying to make my own slider set. What I've done is take Mike Lowe's excellent set and put all human sliders at default and then we'll adjust from there if I start dominating on pitching or hitting. Just want to know from the slider makers am I on the right track doing it like this or is there a better way. Thanks for any help.Tags: None -
Re: Making a slider set
Practice mode is your friend my friend.
Take a pitcher you know and a player you know, and keep fiddling with sliders until your expectations for the matchup meet the results. Go and confirm in a few full games, then go back if needed.
Building a slider set is all about sample size. The larger the sample size the better you can lock in your sliders. Practice mode allows you to pump out a ton of samples in a short amount of time. It's not a true replacement for in game experience (especially if you want to adjust fielding), but it will set you on the right path.
