Need help with Contact vs Timing slider

Hey everyone, been struggling lately to find a happy median for my user hitting sliders. I’ve played this game for 10 years and have never touched a slider until this year. I’ve read JOSHC1977 explanation of sliders, which I’ve found very informative but still confused between tweaking the Contact or Timing slider.

I play on HOF, Directional hitting interface. I’m finding myself getting way too many hits at times and kind of want to tone it done just a bit. I’ve tried moving up to Legend but find myself struggling and not enjoying the game so I’m back to HOF.

In your opinion, do you suggest toning down the contact slider or timing slider? Just keep in mind I’m still enjoying the hit variety, just getting way too many hits for my liking against some really tough pitchers.

Anyone’s comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

In my opinion messing with the contact slider leads to having to mess with the other sliders to balance out things. I’d lower your timing slider a notch and raise your pitch speed for the extra challenge on HOF
