I look at Josh and his sliders are mainly default ( the make ratings matter) approach..Armor and Sword his sliders..Warm Wind ect..they all are very knowledgeable and put lots of time into their method..but..they play different than I. I don’t use my controller to hit / pitch run ect..I manage here and there but mostly create players teams and set back and watch.

So I am always wondering if what these guys put out there for sliders pertain to how I play...
I guess I have “Slider insecurity “..lol
Yeah man, it would help a lot of others for you to try it and report back.

I use meter pitching on legend. I'm not giving up nearly enough runs, but I also never strike out eight or more batters with my starter. I use the Yankees, so this is from both ends. Cole can't get 8+ Ks, and Happ can't give up even 5+ runs. Is this just how The Show plays no matter the slider tweaking?

Yeah I know what you mean. For me it's either you get inflated strikeout numbers or you face guys that put the ball in play like it's slow pitch softball (with unlimited foul balls).

This year it's better, but it is an issue and I know just what you mean.

Great slider set once again. I plugged these in along with dynamic hitting and pitching and the game is a gem. I was just playing my carryover 2022 Braves franchise to test the sliders and learn the new game. And to wait on the minor league rosters to get more fleshed out. But man, the game is playing so well I'm just going to ride with these. My Braves, the Nats and the Mets are all within 2 games of each other in the early season and I am literally playing every game. I don't know if its a function of the game being fun or SCEA condensing things, but I get through most games in about 30 mins or so and that is just perfect. Anyway, great set and thanks.

My only change to your sliders as a Cpu Cpu guy Mike are I raised Starting Pitcher Stamina by 1 to 6.
And outfielder reaction down by one to 3...and that I waffle on.
My games are enjoyable..animations are great..statistic wise I think I’m there ..more games needed of course.
So for any Cpu vs Cpu guys out there .....there ya go...

Loclving the sliders so far, everything plays well expect I find that the cpu almost gets all their runs from hitting hrs. I tried a franchise with the Marlins so maybe it's just the pitchers, but even if I was close to perfect on the timing (meter) the ball would miss far from where I was aiming and boom its a no doubter. Anyone else or is it just me? I'm an average level player I would say

Love the gameplay that I’m getting from these sliders, Mike. You’ve done it again! Theoretically, could you use these for RTTS as well? I guess the tough part would be changing the CPU stamina and Manager Hook between simming to each appearance but it could be done. Thoughts?

Yep I've done exactly that in the past.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders

Hitting has been perfect for me. I'm using the Rockies in franchise so I expect to do well with the bats and struggle with pitching. I've been scoring 4 or 5 runs per game with the occasional 1-2 and the occasional 6+. Hits have been good and overall it just feels right.

I think pitching is too difficult for me, even when considering that nearly all Rockies pitchers are rated very poorly. I'm giving up too many hits, HRs, and runs as a whole and just not having a good time. I already lowered CPU power to 3 which had a minimal effect but I still struggled so I tried CPU contact at 2. This made pitching WAY too easy and I went from giving up 5+ (emphasis on the +) runs per game to less than 3. Pitches that should've been crushed were easy pop outs. Since lowering contact didn't work, what would you suggest that I change to make pitching just a touch easier?

Did you just change the sliders when you started a game, play your appearances, and then change them back before you simmed to the next game?

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders

I am using these sliders and have started 3-0 with the Yankees...not saying too much since it was against the O's. My pitching has been solid but will see as we get into tougher lineups. Most of their runs came on HR's. Mine really seemed too also. Lots of HR-loft power on Yankees so as expected. I have not had many gapper doubles and am just missing on those down the line doubles so that is one thing I am going to monitor.

Mike--if you have a spreadsheet that you use to track BABIP, fould ball %, etc, email it to me at [email protected] and I can see about possibly tracking and emailing you my numbers if you wanted a bigger sample size.

For today's sim, here are the sliders I'm using. Differences shown below are based on post #1 in it's current state.

                          Human Power 4 (+1)
                          Human Timing 2 (-1)
                          Human Foul Frequency 0 (-2)
                          Human Solid Hits 4 (+2)
                          Human Pitcher Consistency 1 (-1)
                          CPU Solid Hits 2 (+1)
                          CPU Pitcher Consistency 5 (-1)

Guys, this played REALLY well on today's stream. Give them a try. Only trying to decide between user solid hits being at 3 or 4, otherwise I think we're extremely close to a v1.1.
