Because it's fine at default. Lowering the timing and fouls creates the same output without needing cartoonish speeds.

Gleyber Torres is a cheat code in this game. If you use the Yankees, you know what I'm talking about.

Most people on this thread find hitting very difficult. It's the opposite for me. I'm still cranking too many HRs. Maybe it's because I use the Yanks. IDK. But if you're on legend hitting and still raking. Drop Human contact to 4 and drop Hum power to 3. This seems to be working better for me.

As for CPU, I've been getting much more realistic hitting and SO results with CPU contact at 2, power at 5, solid hits at 3.

I edited Ridin latest roster so that all relievers have between 20-30 stamina and starters between 65-85 with your latest sliders. There were a lot of relievers with way too high a stamina. I’m going to run a test franchise and see results

If, after extended use with these changes, I still find hitting too easy, I'm going to up fastball pitch speed to 6.

The question will come up what about long relievers but I ran cam bedrosian with a 30 stamina and got over 40 pitches. To me that’s sufficient

The only thing cartoonish about the pitch speeds in the game are how slow they are compared to real life. Legend difficulty with max pitch speeds is still visually slower than real life. In real life a 100mph pitch takes roughly .37 of a second to go from the pitchers hand to home plate and a 75mph pitch takes .5 of a second.

You're making a grand misjudgment: That people in this thread have the reflexes of a professional baseball player.

And as I've said for years, I stay at default as many people, myself including, play Diamond Dynasty and increasing them creates issues in that mode for people and their timing.

I understand why you leave the speeds on default, so they will scale correctly between various game modes and because people have various amounts of skill when it comes to reflexes, I just didn't understand why you would call the speeds cartoonish, which to me sounded like you were insinuating that they were too fast and made the game arcadey. Sliders are playing great though!

I find max pitch speeds cartoonish. Yes. Swinging a bat in real life with professional level scouting and training vs hitting the X button are very different things. Timing measurements at that point become completely moot to me.

Just sharing something I found helpful...I have two versions of the sliders saved on my PS4. One for simming and one for starting up a game. It’s just easier for me to load a slider set instead of adjusting the sliders each time.

I'll be streaming in just over an hour from now! Tigers are right at .500 I believe. Let's see if they can get over the hump in Cleveland today.

I’m with Mike on this as I’m trying to get a more realistic looking pitch speed but from a slider standpoint pitch speed at the higher levels just doesn’t make sense. I was trying 7 but I was just late at an unrealistic rate. I have settled in at 6 for a somewhat realistic pull to late ratio and anything higher than that is just not working. I am currently still working on the HOF level And I am getting very realistic results with his set as a base from the earlier versions. I am not ready at this point to make the jump to Legend and if anyone wants my tweaks I will post my minor adjustments?

Love the sliders, bump up to Legend hitting has been difficult but needed. One question/comment I do have is I'm in the first week of July in my Franchise, and I'd say I sim about 80%, play 20%, using Ridin' 2.0 Rosters I believe (that or 1.5) - and I'm seeing a ton of bullpen usage, both CPU controlled and my own team.

It's not an anomaly of a few pitchers, a majority of RP's are already close to their 2019 total appearances. Any thoughts to lowering bullpen stamina across the board?
I have my relief pitching stamina down to 4 for my team and you and I like the results

This goes back to one of the original concepts of this entire slider set: Don't go off of "feel" or how things "look." It's about output. If pitch speed is causing you to be late on the vast majority of your swings, that's not realistic.
