Is version 1.2 in the vault? Or do we manually adjust from 1.0? Thanks

Going to give 1.3 a go but I have a couple question.

I’m coming from Legend hitting on default sliders in 19 so I won’t feel the change from HOF. Should I make any adjustments to compensate? I had moderate success w/ 1.0 on Legend (more so than default) but I had a very low amount of doubles. I believe my walks were a bit high also. Everything was a bloop single or a blast.

Also I’m a little surprised by starter stamina at 5. I feel like I’ve typically got the opposing pitcher gassed by the end of the fourth and a lot of times my own too.

I have never seen issues with SP stamina. Very few pitchers--if any at all today--go above 100 pitches. Changes today with SP are based moreso on matchups as a SP starts to go through a lineup for the 3rd time (and statistically *always* see a drop in performance), so don't always focus on a SP being taken out strictly because of endurance. Baseball is different today.

I think you'll be fine with the (I'm not calling it v1.3 yet) changes to v1.2 of user power to 4 and user foul % to 1. The game has adjusted power through a few patches, and I think that's a lot of what you were seeing during the time you were likely using v1.0.

I’ve really enjoyed my games so far.

I am really struggling with strikeouts. (15+ in my games). I know this is an element of my skill but what would some recommendations be to alter sliders to help with user K?

Also, I need to buff computer hitting a bit. Any recommendations there?

Before making slider changes, maybe try another batting camera to see if that helps.

If you’ve tried that, I would look at bumping up Hum timing and/or contact a notch.

But to me, the most important thing is being patient at the plate. When I’m rushed for time to squeeze in a game, that’s when I tend to K the most. It takes discipline but if you work the count, you will eventually get “your pitch” and have a greater chance of making contact. Don’t be afraid to take pitches.

Not exactly what you’re trying to buff on the cpu hitting side. But my guess would be to start with knocking back cpu solid hits a touch. And if the cpu is hitting too many hrs, knock cpu power down 1.

These are my best guesses from my experience with the game and sliders. Mike or someone else might have other/better suggestions. Good luck!

First game with the tentative 1.3 edits to user power and fouls. Started a padres franchise and had a nice shot at a no-hitter. Also drew a ton of walks.

                  Buff CPU hitting up?

As for your hitting, yeah just more practice is most important. For a fix now, I'd increase timing and possibly foul balls, but only if you're way low in that %. I'd only bump those 1 notch to start, and possibly only the timing one for now. Contact...maybe but that impacts average and AI walks negatively too much.

Be sure to change the Result area to "Swung" to see the accurate number of misses + Ks.

Good thought. Two of those K were looking on each side.

v1.3 updated on first post and uploaded to the Vault. Changes are indicated. Very confident in these.

In addition to the slider adjustments, I'd suggest to use maximun pitch effectiveness in all 3-ball counts. This helps more w walks.

                            Mike,
Love the sliders, bump up to Legend hitting has been difficult but needed. One question/comment I do have is I'm in the first week of July in my Franchise, and I'd say I sim about 80%, play 20%, using Ridin' 2.0 Rosters I believe (that or 1.5) - and I'm seeing a ton of bullpen usage, both CPU controlled and my own team.

It's not an anomaly of a few pitchers, a majority of RP's are already close to their 2019 total appearances. Any thoughts to lowering bullpen stamina across the board?

I forgot to edit human power in the first post. That's at 4 now and edited in the first post. Should be accurate in the Vault already.

The problem is that AI setup RP are likely way behind. The AI seem to under-utilize setup RP quite a bit. You can always edit each team's bullpen, but that gets tedious too.
