with the chaotic world we are living in right now, I want to thank AS for these sliders and allowing us to escape from reality into our own baseball world. I chose my beloved Marlins and its been rough to say the least lol. Started first 25 games 12-13, since them I'm 1-10. My offense is putrid, starting pitching is awful, only bright light on the team is my bullpen, but not to often do they get a chance to actually shine because the team is always down lol.
I had one game against the Pirates, i was down 10-0 after 2 inning, that was a first for me in my 8 plus years of playing the show. Actually rather humbling.

Through 36 games here's my stats line
Team avg - .232 (28th in MLB)
Team HR - 22 (29th in MLB)
Team SB - 21 (Villar and Berti dominate the MLB in this category)
Team SO- 306 (Very pitcher friendly umpires to say the least)
Team OBP - .299 (last in MLB)
Team OPS - . 663

Team ERA - 4.34 (Bullpen has been a savior, Ryne Stanek in 14 APP has a 1.08 ERA)
Team Hits allowed - 309
Team HR allowed - 35
Team BB - 119
Team K - 189 (more on this later in the post)
Team WHIP - 1.40

The bright side to this franchise is the prospects, I'm just waiting on the right time to bring them up. Trade deadline will let these young guns shine I hope.

My question is for strike outs, I get that its always been a tough slider to gauge and tune. I'm averaging 5 K/9 as a team. I'm more concerned about the CPU contact on pitches. I will bury change ups, sliders in the dirt, and the cpu 8/10 times will hit a dribbler, but I feel like its just way to often. Any way to combat that? What other approaches should i take to get more Ks (besides using a better team)

I've noticed with the OP you can have very good and believable K results. They can also be streaky and yes I'd say there is some legacy coding issues to it. But in my fantasy drafted 80's Strat-o-matic franchise I'm currently 8th in K's after 11 games. But I have a terrific staff with high k/9 ratings and I could be riding a hot streak.
My suggestion get higher rated players and think out of the box when adjusting your pitching strategy. Pitch in ways that seem counter-intuitive to you and see what happens.

MAJOR TRADE YANKEES YEAR 4!!!!

In a shocking transaction the Yankees make some bold salary moves as well as getting some veteran help with expiring contracts. The Yankees have big decisions to make with Arbitration eligible players as well as expiring contracts heading into year 5 so GM Michael Sword made a bold trade with the S.F Giants who sit 1/2 game out of first in the N.L. West.

The Yankees Send:

2B DJ LeMahieu (12.4M/YR thru 2023)
SP Masahiro Tanaka (10.1M/YR thru 2022)
C Julio Calderon (C potential 23 years old 88 fielding 80 reaction 86 blocking)
1B Mike Ford (C potential 26 year old)

In exchange for:

2B Joe Panik (Expiring deal 81 overall 29 years old)
CP Mark Melancon (Expiring Deal 34 years old 86 overall)
C Tyler Stephenson (23 year old B Prospect 74 overall under team control thru 2025)


A bold deal. Panik will become the starting 2B for the Yankees in Year 4. Incredible deal....and the Giants came to the Yankees with Panik for Tanaka. GM Sword expanded the deal and the Giants loved getting DJ.

A great deal for both teams on title runs.

Been away for a few weeks, took me that long to play thru the Last of Us 2. Which to me was a phenomenal game.

I truly hope you guys never make the mistake I made. Came back to playing the Show, and was having horrible lag on my PS4 Pro, and timing of button press on the controller was atrocious. Didn't know what was going on, but game was literally unplayable.

So went with doing a database rebuild 1st. Fire up the show, and the lag was only slightly better. Like was there an update I didn't know about that made it worse? Went with next step, and deleted the game and redownloaded it.

Fresh new game, and still slight lag, really drove me nuts what happened. Well turns out I was a complete idiot. My printers wifi(which I usually never leave on) was somehow really screwing up everything. Soon as I turned it off, everything was back to normal.

Biggest regret of it? I lost ALL of my Sounds of the Show, it'll take me 2 days to redo everything....I just can't play without it.

Short version of the story? If you're noticing lag or drops, check and make sure somethings wifi isn't messing with your PS4.

I am at the tail end of July and for the first time this season I am completely healthy.

We will see how long that lasts lol.

I'm glad to see everyone still trucking along with there franchises. The show 20 has been absolutely incredible.

I am starting the final week of the regular season. I have a 5 game lead over the nationals as they come into town for a 4 game series. My Braves are just 2 wins in the last 7 games away from clinching the NL east.

I have had a incredible month of September. I have only lost 4 times I'm the month and my team is on absolute fire. Freedie Freeman will win the Mvp and has a outside chance at the triple crown in the last week. His numbers are unreal. He is hitting 330 with 60 hr and 145 rbi. The braves have set a new record for Hr in a season with 327 with a week left. Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuna have joined Freeman in the 50 hr club for the season. Ozzie and Acuna both have 52hr. Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna both have hit 40 plus hr.

It's been a amazing season and will share some more of my end if the year stats after I finish up the last week.
