Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Maybe a dumb question but what happens if your game is accidentally shut off (by my daughter) in the middle of a game? Does it just affect that game if you are forced to start over? Does it have an affect on your entire season? I was losing the game 3 - 0 and had the feeling I was going to lose. But my daughter came down stairs and accidentally stepped on my power bar shutting off the ps4. Now I’m thinking that if I simply replay that game and win, I somehow changed how the rest of my season plays out. What would you do? Part of me thinks my season has been ruined
Your season is only ruined now if you let this ruin it for you.Comment

Have you ever been losing a game and shut it off out of frustration (rage)? If so, don’t you feel like you cheated and ruined your season?Yankees modern day

Okay guys need some help. I just got the PS5 hooked up and put the Show in. It installed and copied but I don’t have any of my franchises. It says nothing is saved when I click continue. I don’t have anything in the cloud. What do I do?Follow me on Twitch

Just go back to ps4 and save your franchise to the cloud. There is a option for that. Then it should be there on the ps5

Ha ha. But unfortunately I was rear ended about 6 months ago and suffered whiplash and a severe concussion. As a result I couldn’t play for about 5 months and just getting back into it now. So I’ve only played 16 games of both my Reds and Yankees franchises so not a lot invested yet. Admittedly I’ve kind of lost the feel and momentum of my seasons as it’s been so long since I was able to play. So maybe this is as sign to delete and start fresh?

First off man I’m glad you’re ok. I personally never turn off the game out of frustration. Now I have simmed the rest of a game before if I got pissed and am getting killed.
If you play 162 games you are going to have those games that just suck but that’s baseball. That’s what makes the show so damn good. Take the good with the bad.
And in your situation with the game getting turned off mid game just start over man and don’t worry about it. Living in Florida I’ve had plenty of game shut off in the middle from a quick power outage from the thunderstorms.
The ones that suck the most are when you’ve been on a cold streak and haven’t been able to hit **** than you get hot and score a ton of runs early and boom there goes the power. Lmao that pisses me off. But seriously just keep playing man it won’t affect the rest of your season.

So, on the subject of restarting...
If you guys have to quit mid game and resume later, do you find there to be any issues with gameplay when doing this?
I am always skeptical to quit and resume as I don’t want to throw off some back end coding that makes the game “feel” completely different upon restarting later.
Anyway, just curious if anything is noticeable to you guys? I’ll hang up and listen..

I don’t stop mid game to much but what I do is just put the ps4 on rest mode and start it back up at the same spot as where I left. I like that much better than saving mid game

1. I have had an injury pre mid game save that looked like it was going to be serious and then when I come back and finish the game no injury at all post game
2. I have saved mid game after a rain delay. Then when I come back I have had a second rain delay in the later innings. Talk about messing with your staff.

16 games in? Starting over is a very viable option if you feel it will allow you to get back into your universe better. But at the same time....I have picked up and started older franchise files I started back on MLB 17 and am having a blast. I simply go through all the teams, transactions and get myself caught up and get going.
I just know you......you have restart syndrome. Now Playing on PS5:

You really should become a PS Plus member. It is only $50 bucks a year, your get free games every month, you get cloud storage (I also use a 2TB external HDD) so I have dual control of all my save files. I have dozens upon dozens of rosters and franchise files I never want to lose.
I also heard when you transfer your PS4 MLB The Show 20 files it keeps intact your Sounds of the Show so you do not have to set them all up again. That is huge. I have both 19 and 20 fully set up with SOTS and actually have started the process of setting up my SOTS on 18 now as well (yeah I gotta have it because it is that good). Now Playing on PS5:

I have to do this quite a bit. The 2 biggest things I have seen are,
1. I have had an injury pre mid game save that looked like it was going to be serious and then when I come back and finish the game no injury at all post game
2. I have saved mid game after a rain delay. Then when I come back I have had a second rain delay in the later innings. Talk about messing with your staff.

It is possible to have 2 rain delays, it's happened to me, again without a save and quit. It's just really rare.
The only negative I've noticed about using a save and quit is that it doesn't save game highlights and replays from the earlier pre-save part of the game.Comment

Look up on you tube how to transfer your data from your PS4 to your PS5 via ethernet cable.
