And just like that….we were having a discussion about playing through injuries and bam we get hit.

In the second game of a 4 game series vs The Rays SS Trea Turner (who leads the team in Avg and was 2-2 in this game for a .302 Avg) laid out for a ball up the middle and ended up breaking his collarbone. He will miss 1-2 months.

Enter Tyler Wade again!!! Can he put together some magic again?

Recently called up hot hitting 2B Nelson Cho found himself in the injury matrix and lost.

Out 2 weeks with elbow tendinitis.

I'll tell you Arm, and I still don't know how it exactly works, but these sliders sure make for some enjoyable MoM games.

My historic playoffs I play have gone exclusive to MoM because I wanted ratings to determine outcomes, not my thumbs. Holy Smokes what fun change of pace. And in MoM, you automatically have the clean screen and the ball seems more realistic as well.

Great, I completely agree about Legend, even great pitches out of the zone were being crushed on that difficulty.

Final clarification with you, your most recent post says to raise contact and power by 1, but 2 posts ago you said to raise power and solid hits, so I just wanted to clarify.

If I’m still experiencing low run totals against I guess I can go ahead and raise power, solid hits, and contact all by 1. Wound you ever touch CPU timing?

Absolutely, I will do!

In regard to your understanding of the Human pitcher control and Human pitcher consistency sliders, how exactly do they differentiate? Is it as simple as Consistency determines how often your guy throws a pitch near where you’re aiming and Control determines how accurate the guy will throw to the spot you’re aiming with on your controller?

This is the knowledge I’m after and would be a great help if you could shed some light on it - so far I’m giving up more runs, walked more batters, and have had much more contact against which is what I’m looking for! Have had 3, 8, 5, and 2 runs scored against me so far - small sample size, I know, but it’s a good sign.

The sample size will continue to grow! I’ll keep you updated, no doubt.

Still rolling along in Year 4 of my Mets carryover franchise (started on MLB 18), and have reached the Postseason. Defeated the Cardinals in 4 games in the NLDS and now take on the Cubs in the NLCS. Over in the AL, its the Angels (defending WS champs) against the Yankees.

I'm playing 20 currently with Bacon's roster. I'm using Josh's sliders currently. So far I'm 3-1 but im hitting .300 as a team with a lot of home runs. Do you think I should bump to hall of fame with your sliders?

4 games is simply not a sample size. To be honest.....at least half a season is a real sample size (where players are logging several hundred AB’s by the All-Star Break).

That question is impossible to answer.

Armor, your help has been immensely appreciated and the game has been reinvigorated for me - each pitch is thrown with a sense of nervousness since there’s a better chance of the CPU crushing one, which is what I missed the most.

One more thing, playing HOF hitting, with pitch speeds at 10/9 and Human power / Solid hits at 4, where would you go next if I’m hitting too well? Averaging over 10 hits a game and really haven’t had enough games of 4/5 hits (like what happens in real life, even for the best teams). I know your first move would be to raise pitch speeds, but I’m already capped out for those.

I have played 68 games so far this season and have multiple hitters with a averages above 300 and by far have the best hitting stats in the league.

just my 2 cents......maybe change your hitting camera, you might be seeing the ball too well? What camera do you use?

Additionally, my experience is that with faster pitch speeds it's actually easier to make contact (once you adjust to the faster speeds).

I was in the same boat "sort of"...what helped me is FB pitch speed @ 7 and Off-Speed pitch sped @ 5.

Maybe try having the off speed pitch speed slider 2 lower than the fastball speed...worked for me.
