I know everyone has said we can cancel the download once we turn our system on. What if we are in rest mode? Mine is and i have auto download checked. I cant remeber if patches auto install or if i can still cancel once i get home and turn it on.

So I might hold off downloading this until the rosters come out. Then I’ll download it and live with the auto throw until they fix it. I am glad it is still playable just a inconvenience. Heck, I still probably will push the button to throw because I’m used to it. So I probably won’t notice too much. I’m just worried about the cpu making a dumb mistake.

But not any worse than what I did last night. I was playing while I was sitting on the floor with my 9 month old son. And I was trying to play while he was trying to play with the controller. Well there was a ground ball the first base and he push the square button and my first baseman threw it to 3rd. Luckily they gave me an error because the next guy doubled and he scored so it was an unearned run and I was up by 3 runs.

I need to teach my son to not throw to 3rd in that situation. LOL

Pretty sure if it's on rest mode and you have the auto download box checked than its probably already to late for you lol But I'm not 100% sure , so maybe you get lucky

I fell on the sword for all of you.


With that being said.......I am making the decision until this throwing interface is fixed so we can make our throws on auto fielding to play full auto/auto.

Meaning I am letting the CPU make all throwing decisions until this is fixed. Why?

Well I want to play. And if I have to just hit and pitch until this is resolved so be it.

I rather do this than field myself and see all that ugly visual aide crap. I can see that when I play online. This is our offline baseball heaven and we want keep playing.

So it is what it is until this is resolved. And the solution is very simply.

They need to tie the baserunner interface to the throwing decision toggle.....not the fielding decision toggle.

Very simple.

It was not thought out properly when they all of a sudden decided to make a design decision after release (which is incredible).

On a positive note the pitch type and velocity is now back being displayed after every pitch on the score bug.

I will see you all on the streams tonight.

Back to franchising, even if it is not all the way like we normally do. But we will be back to making the throws.....soon. They will fix this gaffe.

I guess this is good news for me as I have always been an auto/auto guy. Try to eliminate (my) human error as much as possible and let the ratings play out

If your an auto/auto guy you are in fine shape.

I will tolerate not throwing for now......praying and hoping the reverse this mess for us.

The lack of the base running interface display that has been tied to the wrong toggle and the blue circle underneath the fielders.

Those two things get fixed (it was only one thing before this damn update lmao) and we have an amazing game.

So they found the cause of it. Do we know if it is in the process of getting fixed and we just have to wait or are we waiting to see if they will reverse the decision? I mean it sounds like an error they made.

Man, this has been so stressful . After 100 games now theres simply no other choice for me but to stick with Legend hitting with Power 4 , Solid hits 4 Fastball pitch at 7 and Off speed at 6 . I found these settings to most resemble and play like the Show 19 did on HOF hitting for me , very strange that most dont seem to think that its much easier to hit in this game . But im glad to finally say that after 100 games of testing i now finally feel confident enough with these settings to start my Jays franchise tmr and enjoy this game . This is the final game i tested today and it was a really fun one against the power hitting Twins , and i truly need to learn how to run the bases cus it cost me late in the game and it wasnt the first time this has happened . I nearly broke my chair in anger when 2 guys just decided to stay on the same base . Im just so excited to finally get this franchise going tmrr , and if anyone wants a watch for the Jays vs The Twins heres the link . Enjoy

Tried out Legend using your suggestions. I think anyone looking for a more challenging set should make these tweaks and move up to Legend. On HOF, I wasn’t getting realistic statistic totals through months of playing. With my Phillies, Harper had nearly 20 HR through April. I couldn’t play like that. Since restarting with the Yankees and moving up to Legend, for me, the game plays and feels much more realistic...

Did you move up to Legends pitching as well? I’ve never been a fan of having different levels for hitting and pitching (legends hitting and hof pitching). I was hitting too well on hof with pitch speeds at 7/6 so after testing a few games I’m going to restart my franchise on hof with pitch speeds at 8/7. I did try part of a game on Legends. I think I could get used to hitting but I was having trouble getting anybody out on legends pitching. I think my level is HOF+.

So if we don't download the patch, will we eventually have to to get the crowd audio drops that have been fixed? That's the only thing I'm interested in with this patch.

Also, I deleted the patch... is there a way to get that back into my downloads if I need it for the crowd audio fix?

I think they wanted to make this change for auto fielding but inadvertatly ****ed it up for guys who play with auto fielding but manual throwing.

They need to tie the base runner interface while playing defense to the throwing toggle not the auto fielding toggle.

If throw decision is on (meaning the CPU makes the throws) you don’t need to see the runner diamond in the top right corner.....you are simply watching them play defense.

If you have throw decision set to off (meaning you make the throws) you should and have to be able to see the runner diamond in the top right corner to decide where you are going with the ball!!!

Nope. Stayed at the pitching settings and sliders in the OP. I have no problem being in between 2 different levels if they match up to my playing style/skill and give me believable statistics. On Legend pitching, it was VERY difficult to get the CPU to chase out of the zone. It would almost never happen. I would maybe tack up 3-4 k’s per game. Besides that, I don’t think HOF and Legend pitching are too different. You’ll still get knocked around on HOF if you’re throwing meatballs.

Okay I need some help. I went to PlayStation settings and found automatic updates and turned them off. But I don’t think that did it cause when I turned the game on it started to download. I clicked on start application without updating. So as I was playing, it popped up that the update is ready to install. How do I NOT install it the next time I turn the game on? Or is it stuck now?
