2017 New York Yankees Year 4 (2020)

The New York Yankees are set to open Spring Training soon. We will bring you a full off-season update, rosters moves and our 40 man roster as we head into year 4. The Yankees were taken out in the ALCS in game 7 in year 3 vs the Houston Astros. It was a bittersweet end to a very good season. The Astros would then lose to the L.A. Dodgers in game 7 of their World Series match-up.

I am excited to bring you year 4 of this Yankees franchise that we began on The Show 17. We play every pitch of every inning on this bad boy!! We also stream games as often as we can. So join me for some fun on twitch as well!!

Year 1 - Lost game 5 of ALDS vs Seattle Mariners (Dodgers W.S. Champs)
Year 2 - Won World Series in 6 games over L.A. Dodgers
Year 3 - Lost in game 7 of ALCS vs The Houston Astros (Dodgers W.S. Champs)
Year 4 - ????

hey armor I was wondering if I wanted to start a 2015 or 2017 franchise what roster would I use and how do you do the draft like for the draft do you chsnge the fake players name to the real name? becsuse i would like to keepit as real as possiblre if it id even possible could you explain to me if i csn even do it

I have a question. I have heard people in the general threads complain that the minor league players only have one option and that there are a lot of prospect trades in April. Someone said that doesn’t happen if you use 19 rosters. Right now I am using Monkey’s updated 2020 roster on MLB 19. How do I use a saved 19 roster on 20? Am I able to load the roster like usual or do I have to carry over a season?

Guys im having tons of trouble with this Directional doesnt seem right everything im on says good good just a ground balls or fly out or early. plus tons of double plays. i feel like they worked on this game more on zone hitting and forgot about directional hitting

I have a 30 Team Control Question, if anyone can help.

Problem: I thought I'd set this up correctly, playing as White Sox, but when I cycle through the other 29 teams they're also set to Manual control, not Auto. I expected White Sox to be Manual, and the rest Auto. I feel I am missing a step, or not properly understanding how it works.

How I set it up: I created two profiles, Sox and CPU. Mode Specific Options for my Sox profile (which I've set as the default), are all Manual, and the Mode Specific Options for CPU are all Auto, except Roster options which I set for Manual.

In both profiles, under Settings File Associations, I have Chicago associated with my Sox profile, and all other teams associated with the CPU profile.

I then play the game with my Sox profile as the default. And, as I say, all 30 teams are set to Manual. No doubt this is because I set everything in my Sox profile to Manual, but I thought that associating my CPU profile to the other 29 teams via Settings File associations would change this?

Sorry for the long post. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Way too many HRs. I am playing HOF with Armor's modifications. I am using 10 speed though.

I applied your Gold v5 sliders from last year. Basically reduced CPU solid hit and foul frequency to 4. Now playing much better and more hit variety from CPU.

hmm there is way to much power this year.

I was up 4-0 with the Yankees against the Os 2 out in the 7th and ended up winning 17-2 yeah I know it's the Os but this is insane the amount of home runs being hit this year and most of it happened in the last 3 innings and I am on hall of fame too.

yet before that I had a wonderful 2-1 game which i lost Cubs Brewers Eric Sogart hit a 2 run homer in the 8th. Darvish had a 14 K game. it was a heartbreaking loss I had after the great game he had

but I think homers this year are up agian

Early on but power is booming. I am going to jeep playing as sample size is really key.

Start a new franchise on 20 and it will ask of you want to import a roster from 19.

Very easy.

Armor - a few observations after I started on HoF difficulty on my own.

1. Too many Human HRs, need bigger sample size

2. Fielder speed is too fast, even with balls in the gap they get to it too quicky, I think this needs to be lowered a click or two.

3. CPU Manager Hook needs to be increased by one or two.

4. Injuries probably need to be increased by one or two (no injuries through approx 10 games), need larger sample size.

All of these are early observations and definitely subject to more play time. But I wanted to call these out.

Folks we are playing games.....many many games. It will take a large sample size to really get a version 1.0 out there. So please keep your feedback coming and I appreciate the patience.


The game on the diamond is really awesome. So happy with hitting, fielding and CPU base runner aggressiveness as well as the new catcher blocking.

We have the pinnacle in the series thus far in terms of realistic baseball gameplay. But we need a lot more time to fine tune it this year. So sit tight.

Question for you on sound. I have been away from the show since 17' and just picked up the 20 and totally buy into the clear screen set up and your slider setups.

Just was watching your Yankees video on twitch and the crack of the bat sounds 1000% different then what I hear when I playing. What sound settings are you using?

I have a Sonos surround sound system, and everything sounds great except the batted balls sound terrible...even when I make solid contact it sounds like I'm hitting off the end of the bat. And the pop of the catchers mit is drowned out too.

I have sound effects cranked to the max as well as the crowd and PA announcer. I have the commentary low. like half way. And sometimes I turn it off completely. Reverb is on as well. I use Sound of the Show to enhance my overall immersion. I can’t play with them.

I use Sony Golds with the headset app and I DL the MLB 20 sound mix directly into the Sony Gold headset. It SOUNDS INCREDIBLE.

The crack of the bat this year has never been better. When I crush a ball it feels so freaking satisfying. I also know from the sound if I don’t hit well or even hit a bleeder.

They nailed it this cycle.
