That sucks. At that point I would have saved that game at that point and re-entered it. If I didn’t get out of it I would start that point over again. I would have felt guilty doing it because that is cheating but the CPU cheated me. Cause they don’t get those bugs. If it happens during any other time I can chalk it up and pretend it was bobbled. But at that time, that would be hard to swallow.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Hey guys!
Important question I’ve always wondered about that may be helpful to have the answer to...
If I’m blowing out my opponent and decide to take my star players out of the game in the 6th/7th inning, will they begin to re-energize as the game is going on? Essentially, is pulling them only beneficial to stop the energy loss, or can it start the energy gain quicker?
Thank you all!

That's a good question. I would like to know this as well I do know that if I have a position player losing alot of energy I can hide him at DH for a day or 2 and he won't lose hardly anymore energy.Hey guys!

Great point! Would love any follow up from some of the more experienced MLB players in this thread as well! It’s a vital question for me and I think it’s something that’s never been discussed in depth (to my knowledge)

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
It is going to be looked at
I think (and I am no developer so take it with a grain of salt) what happened is they added a bunch of new excellent infield animations. And in that process the code got cross wired on up the middle situational double plays where we have that brain fart of either guy simply waiting instead of having the branching contextual awareness to take it themselves when their momentum is taking them to the bag or they are simply close enough to take it themselves.
I am confident they will get it worked out on a future update (when I do not know but hopefully they will be able to recreate it and isolate what the issue is in the code).Last edited by Armor and Sword; 04-09-2020, 08:21 AM.Now Playing on PS5:

If you want a guy to recover then they need a full game off. There is no in between. I also like to give key guys day’s off (if the schedule allows which sometimes it does not) on the last game before a day off. I do give my starting catchers a day off every 5-6 days.....if they are running really low. Once the energy get’s to 1/4 of a tank day’s off are highly suggested to avoid injury, and improve performance. You just need to get into a rhythm of giving certain guys more days off than others. Also training on durability will help build up against injury.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I feel, well personally for me, sliders are locked in unless there's a patch that changes something drastically.
70 games(Every game played) in to my Phillies franchise and I'm absolutely loving the different feel each game brings. Some games my pitchers are lights out, n others their top pitches just aren't hitting the spot. Same goes for the bats.
Every team plays different, every game different. Best part is having a tight Division race w/ the Nats, we're only a .5 game up on them.
Deeper I've gotten in to the season the better the games have been. Funny thing is I've been shut out by the Marlins twice...those 2 games made me appreciate the variety 20 brings.Comment

Is anybody noticing a lot of errant throws to 2nd base? I just had it happen two plays in a row. Usually it’s from my 3B when they throw it to 2nd to start the double play and the throw pulls them off the base. It feels like half the throws in that situation pulls the fielder off the bag. And it could be the fielder ratings too. It is Riley from the Braves so I’m not sure what his fielder ratings are. I’m loving that there are errors in this game. I’m not saying I want the throwing error slider lowered but just don’t remember this happening that many times.Follow me on Twitch

Great! Thank you for the update. That makes perfect sense.

So the quick throw to 2nd is errant, and really the throw should have gone to 1st.Comment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I've noticed this quite a bit, using Segura at 3B it happens often. I think it's fielder ratings and also like it's predicating that it shouldn't be a double play....like the AI is saying the only play is to 1st.
So the quick throw to 2nd is errant, and really the throw should have gone to 1st.Follow me on Twitch

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Man I am struggling bad in my pirates franchise. 1-8 . Lost 7 in a row . Their pitching is horrible . 4 of my 5 starters have an ERA over 7 and my relievers are worse. I am in every game until my bullpen comes in and then it’s lights out. I have given up 9, 10, 13 and 18 runs in the last 4 games . Seems every pitch I throw never hits the spot or even comes remotely close to where I am aiming. My Yankees franchise is the going well at least thank god. I wanted to play with a team that wasn’t really good for a deeper challenge. Well I got it. Frustrating to say the least but I’m going to stick with it and see if I can save this ship from sinking. Love this game!

Is it true that there are “a ton” of trades very early in your franchise? Just about ready to start a franchise and want to stop this if it is trueYankees modern day

It's tricky to figure out just by looking at the roster...so just run a quick sim with the roster you want to use and make sure that isn't an issue. If it IS an issue, find a different one.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment
