    Hitting Help

So.... I’m having the same ANNOYING problem I had LAST YEAR..... it’s not the sliders fault... but let me ask... WHY CANT I HIT THE BALL!!!!! I’m only 11 pitches in my first game and I’m swinging and whiffing like no other....... my batting camera is strike Zone cause I watched hitting video and they said “ strike zone” is a easier camera well so far I’ve striked out like 4 times and 1 weak ground ball.... .. and the feed back always says early so I wait then it says late... 😿
WHAT IS GOING ON lol I love baseball ⚾️ and don’t want to have to take the game back ....
    ANY ADVICE please please

What usually helps me is to find the ball out of the release and find the red laces then follow the ball.

Use dynamic difficulty. People tend to really play above their level of actual difficulty for some reason (not saying you do) and then just hate the game. If you’re struggling on HOF for example don’t be too proud to go down to all star..if you have to go down to veteran, so what?

Also another thing to adjust is pitch speed. If you’re early all the time just up them both to 6/6.

My advice though is for now just use dynamic difficulty and figure out which level is fun for you to play at. It’s your world, your game and the point of video games is to just simply have fun. It shouldn’t be stressful.

don't swing at everything. Early in the count, keyhole in on a specific spot in the zone and only swing if the pitch is there

This. Don't be afraid to swing at the first pitch if it's right where you want it - you never know, it might be the only hittable pitch you see in that at-bat. Just try to be very selective about it. Trying to hit something that you can't cover well is more likely to lead to an easy out.

And if you are trying to zone in on a certain pitch and location early in at-bat, make it count. Don't just swing late to try and put the ball in play - try to pull it and you'll usually get more exit velocity out of it. Those are the kinds of hits that anyone can leave the yard on, even pitchers sometimes. Worst case is you swing and miss, and you've got a strike or two more to play with.

            1) change the camera. I don't use strike zone cam it doesnt work for me. Test out some different ones. Use a camera for a while (not just one inning) and see if you like it. I use Offset.

            2) slow the pitch speed down and learn to recognize the pitch and the location, then when you start killing it, keep moving the pitch speed up until you feel that you're at a realistic setting for your results.

Yeah this too, don't start swinging at everything. That's a recipe for disaster but it's easy to fall in to that trap when you're not hitting well you get impatient.

Thanks for the advice I’m going to give this a shot tonight. QUESTION ... should I just address the hitting with setting it at Dynamic difficultly??? Or should I set that for pitching as well? I have pitching on All Star and seem to be decent but not unfair either seems to be good for me.
Also does the game tell you what difficulty you are on ?? While playing dynamic? How do you tell?

in Dynamic difficulty does the raised difficulty carry over to the next game. I sure hope it don’t reset....
it was almost TO EASy.... my first game I won’t 7-0 I had 17 hits vs their 2 .....
I was the Indians vs Reds

Yes it should carry over. Also if you set dynamic difficulty slider at 10 you will move up faster in difficulties.

Are you using zone or directional hitting interface? Zone is tougher.

I was feeling the same way since I’ve been playing this year’s game & I’ve been playing The Show for a long time now.. But I upped each human hitting slider by one (Using Mike Lowe’s 1.3V) & changed my hitting view from Retro to Fish Eye, & I’ve been killing it now! Also, changed the fastball & offspeed pitch speed to 7 each! Give it a try.

                          Try these inside these sliders:

I don't want to discourage you pantherfan. I think it's great you made a slider set. The more minds we get making sliders and digging in trying to understand the nuances of each slider, the better. I also think it's great you're excited about it. Passion and quality go hand in hand.

But can you please stop necroing old threads?
