Re: Bunt Exit Velocity HAS To Be Toned Down

I always wondered why many had this issue. I have always bunted (how JoshC) mentions for as long as I can remember. At least when bunting for a hit or to try a good sac.. I never try the hold until outcome is complete approach. I tried it a few times I believe mlb 11.. and they would bunt clear to the edge of the grass in front of infielders and never did it again LOL

[quote=JHodges57;2050073861]I play the same way. The bunt has really been eliminated as a strategy because of this issue. I even tried a bunt with a man on 2b only and the bunt went right to the thirdbaseman who raced in and threw to 1b.The runner on 2b didn't bother to go to third even with good speed and aggressiveness. So even a bunt to move a runner from 2b to 3b is not an option.

Another thing I've tried is having to runner begin a steal only for the bunt to be popped up. Done this several times.

yea honestly if they fix this this will be the best edition for cpu vs cpu and MOM players ever!! hoping praying im still having a blast playing if i have to ill switch all bunting to 90 for all starting pitchers if that works. such an important part of national league baseball!

I only bunt with players, especially pitchers, who are rated over 90 for bunting.

0.2 Sacrifice Bunts per game in the NL in 2019.

        Yup...SO important....
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

youre a reds fan what the hell would you know about anything but the celler? watch Kershaw maybe you can learn a little something about NL baseball. i guess when you're down 5-0 after the first inning and your there pitcher might as well swing away bunting doesn't help a team that cant pitch!

No need. Reds have already mastered choking in the playoffs. But I would hardly call the #4 pitching team in the national league a team that can't pitch.

i know there better this year, just ticks me off when someone mouths off when they don't know the importance of bunting in tight games in NL league with the pitchers. Dodgers have always had great bunting pitchers one of the reasons were always in the playoffs. if they change to DH in both leagues it wont matter but i don't see that coming anytime soon.
