Josh has since moved to all default sliders so now control has been at 5

I forgot he went to default and I been back and forth with using these sliders.

I just wanted to know your thoughts and reasoning of pitch consistency at 6. Josh puts control at 6. I was wondering what the difference is.

I simply played game after game of testing and I was giving up way too many walks when I was pitching so that’s why user consistency is 6. Control at 6 it was TOO many strikes in my opinion.

And the cpu is at 6 so they just paint the corners a bit better on all star. I did that last year too, I like them both at 6 again this year as well.

I’m not a stat junkie, and this isn’t a stat based slider set but I have paid attention to strike % in all my games played and it’s always around what it should be.

Something has definitely changed with directional hitting this year. I just can’t seem to barrel anything up. Work the count in my favor, get a pitch down the middle to hit and it’s either fouled straight back, or a weak fly ball.



Not saying I want everything to be a hit, but it would at least feel nice to make some decent contact. I am seriously considering trying zone hitting for the first time.

Yeah I’ve been streaky this year. I’m still okay with directional though. When I get a weak pitcher I usually do pretty well. I scored 7 runs in two innings against Lance Lynn yesterday. Hit 6 homeruns.

Today I went up against Giolito and was only help to 5 hits and 2 runs. It’s been a nice variety.

I’ve played with the Phillies every year except this one so I am used to having a losing record, but I’ve always had fun.

This year...not so much. And the funny thing is I’ve found a way to win some close games and have a winning record, so you’d think I’d be enjoying myself, but this year’s game is a struggle.

I wouldn't base a whole ton on playing against the Dodgers. They are absolutely juiced this year. Massive solid contact, sustained rallies, first-pitch homers. I would just get into that stadium, take my lumps, and get out! I have found Texas to be equally maddening this year.

We took the series 3 games to 1 against the white Sox. Our starting pitching needs to be better though, and next is the Astros so we need to figure it out fast.

Trout has started a bit slow. Rendon has been on an absolute tear. He has FIVE homeruns in 4 games.

Kurt Suzuki has also been next level against lefties. When I face a southpaw he’s actually my lead off hitter, a 37 year old catcher....my lead off hitter, crazy. He’s had 7 hits in his last two games alone. Not surprised though being he has 93 contact vs lefties and mid 80’s vision.

This has all been so fun.

I’ve also changed my hitting camera to The Show 15. I didn’t really want to but with my fisheye 2 camera I couldn’t track the ball in angels stadium. When I faced a righty the ball would blend right in with the sky during day games.
