OP updated. I’ll eventually do a proper write up on the OP for this set but my MacBook is in for repair right now and it’s too much for a phone

If you’re wondering why the contact at 6 for cpu it’s because I’m trying to get them to be a bit more disciplined at the plate but also swing and miss more in the strike zone. Hence the contact at 6 and timing at 3 currently. I’m rolling with the OP for about 20 games then I will reassess.

Sounds good man. I made a minor change and put cpu timing to 0. Trying to cool down cpu offense a tad without them losing their teeth.

G1: 2-4 L @ CWS
G2: 3-2 L vs SEA F/10
G3: 7-4 L vs OAK F/12
G4: 3-4 L @ ARI

Rough start to the season for the Twins. 33-53 at July 4th. Looking to restructure the team. No wins on stream was a big oof. Gave up a 2 out HR in the top of the 9th to SEA. Also gaveup a walk off HR in the bottom of the 9th to the D-Backs. Those were painful lol

Things I have noticed:
1.) no real crooked innings were put up
2.) most runs came off HRs
3.) good amount of hits compared to the runs
4.) most starters average start of 6 and 2/3rds before hitting yellow stamina

I’ve noticed a ton of swings and misses by the cpu on HOF, and to be honest that was a wonderful problem to have compared to the last few years.

That is why I bumped cpu contact to 6. They were chasing too much and I was getting over 10ks per game consistently with very low pitch count innings.

100% on the swing and miss from the CPU which like you said … great “issue” to have. Only person I’ve had 10+ K’s with so far in 6 games is deGrom.

Also noticed that about 2-3x a game the CPU hitter will just foul EVERYTHING off. Idk if this is intentional to raise the user pitch count or what but I’m talking like 10-13 pitches for a single hitter. This was also with foul frequency set to ZERO.

This game however is incredible, from the sound of the ball into the glove and off the bat, player physics, visuals and commentary - it’s just beautiful. Feels so nice to see a sports game still show effort to us offline, franchise mode players. All the best fellas!

I’ve started to notice the stamina as well. I didn’t anticipate them fixing it. Lol

I’m testing away still. Hopefully I can some up with something concrete. I’m off work for 5 days so I got all the time. New TV coming tomorrow too

I tweaked power back to 4 and solid hits to 5. Human control at 5 and human consistency to 4

I’ve seen the gripes forum wide about the cpu offense being toothless. I’ve been testing out some stuff. At one point in this set I had both contact at 6. I’m going back to that. Royals had 10 hits against me last game. Bieber was the starter too so it’s not like it was a bad pitcher.

Updating the OP and I’ll stream tonight at one point.

FYI: In my own personal set, I have CPU contact set to 6 and HUM and CPU POW set to 6. The +1 increase to power has made a world of difference. It's very subtle, but highly effective. I have to give credit to goblue81188 for coming up with the power idea.

The global issue isn't the amount of hits by the CPU, assuming your set is balanced. The issue is the lack of run production from those hits. With this adjustment, they now produce appropriate runs, while not sacrificing the integrity of the chess match between the pitcher and the batter. And, you still get Ks as appropriate.

Also, for your own set, you may want to reconsider your adjustments to timing and foul frequency. I am running all default batting and pitching sliders, with the exception to what I mentioned above. I'm not sure the universal reduction to foul frequency is necessary this cycle.
