I think I'm gonna try these on HOF+. Drop solid hits to 5 and keep CPU timing at 3. I'll keep everything else as OP. I'm using Antortiz Roster, which seem about the same as the ones you are using

Well I tried them as the OP on HOF+ and I'm making a few adjustments. I'll post what I end up with it'll take a couple more sessions.

Just some thoughts, I can’t get over how good this game is this year. One thing I really love so far about 4/4 control/consistency is you can really feel if you’re pitcher has “it” or not that day. Also if you walk a couple guys in a row you really got to get your pitcher to throw some strikes to get him out of his funk.

I’ve also finally came to terms power needs to be on 4/4. Sorry for the change but it’s necessary. My guardians are sitting at 4-5 and my offense is sputtering besides Jose, naylor and gimenez. Having a blast though.

I appreciate that! And yeah I guess that does sound confusing lol. Most of my runs have been via HR. I’m getting too many, so is the cpu. When I bumped to 6 solid hits and 4 power I’m getting more doubles etc and less HRs. HRs feel more earned and more exciting now as well.

Even with power on 4 Jose had a 3 HR game vs the Royals and almost had a 4th but was caught at the warning track. It was incredible. All 3 no doubters too.

Also, I’m okay with my offense struggling..they are ranked in the bottom 10 in the league in terms of contact and power. So all is good. I might have to make a trade at the deadline if Mercado continues to be awful. He’s like 0-25 to start the season.

Well, my offense finally broke out. 12 runs on 18 hits vs Minnesota. Only 2 came from home runs and I sat Josh naylor because of fatigue

Haha I heard you say you jump the gun on changing sliders i have scored 8 runs in 5 games with one of the games scoring 5 of them I am about to increase contact or something cuz i know slumps are part of a season but its so overdone some times in the show

There's a reason for that....

because YOU are the one controlling every player....so if your timing is off or your pitch recognition is off; it can impact every player in the lineup. That can spiral very quickly. BUT - it works in the reverse as well.

Funny you sat that because I was in the biggest user slump ever. Pitches I would normally be able to turn on I was very late on. Lasted a few games!

Some very minor tweaks:

Fielder speed to 4
Base runner speed to 4
IF and OF arm strength to 5


The reason I’m doing this is because baserunner speed on 3 a stand up double was never a standup double. It was always way too close.

Fielder speed at 4 to chill out some hits.

Arm strength up to 5 to balance out the above changes.

That is all. Set is playing nice and the cpu teams are genuinely scary. I played KC who hit 1 HR against me in 3 games. I then played Minnesota who is obviously loaded with power and they took me deep 4 times in game one. Ratings are playing out.
