I’m hoping we can be close to default this year.
I'm using your most recent updated set from the original post, I love how balanced they are!

I normally just add transactions during the season, and then fill in the stats when I trade/DFA a player or at the end of the season for everyone else. But I'll definitely be using it again next season. Probably going to use the Mariners in 23 after using my favorite team the Braves the last two seasons.

I might have to try that, I really would like to keep track of everyone's stats outside of the game. I really would like to keep updated standings as well, since the offseason was insane...the Reds signed Judge and Luis Severino and traded for Starling Marte and Taijuan Walker, yet started the season 3-11. Meanwhile the Pirates, who won 46 games last year, are now 13-6 and in first place. Crazy stuff like that is what makes baseball (both real and in the game) so great and I love reading other peoples league-wide franchise updates.

That is awesome with the Reds and Pirates. Apparently the Reds in the game as about the same luck as the real life Reds. Lol but it is cool to see the game have an out of nowhere team go for it.

I use that stat sheet as well. I have an office job so what I do is take pics of the screen’s boxscores and then enter the numbers on the spreadsheet at work. That way it doesn’t take away game time lol.

Trying to get as many games in with the Guardians before 23 comes out. Still playing the tech test to test sliders. Just wanted to give an update on the sliders. Everything is falling in place with hit variety and stats.

            I’m 53 games in.

Hum / CPU / 2022 real life average

            Avg - .272 / .252 / .243 (my numbers are a little high)
            BABIP - .314 / .291 / .290

            Singles: 64% / 65% / 65%
            Doubles: 22% / 19% / 20%
            Triples: 2% / 1.5% / 1.7%
Home Runs: 11.8% / 14.4% / 12.4% (The CPU is a little high. But nothing out of range.

              Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

In the world of MLB the Show the most important stat for ANY FRANCHISE TEAM IS CONTACT.

The Mets and Braves are two similarly ranked teams.
Both are ranked very high with one Crucial difference
The Mets have the highest batting contact in the game while the Braves are like right in the middle somewhere. It just depends on what rankings you use.

The result of this is that the Mets can still win games against tough pitchers with the right plate strategy from the start. Good pitching however turns the Braves into mediocre hitters and you will struggle big time. That's the difference. In real life it doesn't work out like that but on the game it does.

With the Mets you can just take pitches and wear the starter down and get him out of the game. That doesn't work for Atlanta. The Braves have to have things rolling downhill to get the victory in a lot of cases. Atlanta can whip the sorry teams up but the good pitchers can really shut them down

I think I'll try it, at least to get the player stats down. We'll see how it goes and then expand from there.

Did you guys find that pitching was still too easy with the tech test? I wonder if you will need to lower difficulty to all star again ?

I only played a couple of games on the tech test. Trying to get as many games in on my Guardians franchise before 23 comes out.

But I didn’t try HOF on pitching. I kept on Allstar with these sliders. We noticed that it is easier to get strikeouts. We did try a couple of games with CPU contact at 7 because we actually felt they were getting too many hits at 8. But it looks like our 22 set will be very close to what we will use on 23.

HOF has an issue for years where it just feels like the ball is connected to the bat if you know what I mean. On all star it feels more loose and you’ll see more swings misses.

I agree. And it seems like on HOF there are too many home runs and that’s the only way they score. There isn’t a lot of hit variety. Allstar is better but you have to compensate sliders to keep the CPU dangerous.

I am in FULL spring training mode.Playing individual games in the minor league/spring training stadiums.

I am wearing batting practice uniforms since there are no spring training jerseys.

I won't return to the big league stuff until I start my season in 2023.

Sliders STILL playing great as always.

Any word on whether or not they fixed the many issues with the dynamic difficulty?

Edit: I have Xbox Game Pass and it is already installed on my Xbox. Just can't play it yet of course.

Honestly, it is very cool to play in the spring training or even the minor league created stadiums. It is a nice change of pace with even the crowd noise and the “silence” of having a 6K-10K crowd.

They probably wouldn’t announce that fix unless it’s in a patch. What I do is once you have your difficulty locked in, copy multiple/several profiles. That way if you are on Profile 1 and it resets somehow, you can just switch to Profile 2.

You understand exactly what I am doing. For all the criticism that people have for SDS one thing they have done right is stadium ambience.

The difference between the major league and minor league stadiums is striking. Seeing half empty minor league stands or being able to see houses around the stadium.

You know how Singleton has the commentary where he says that in the big leagues do not call the umpire blue? I just played a game in the Capital Field park and the someone in the crowd yelled something and called the ump "blue". You won't hear that in a big league park. They put that type of detail in this game.

I was like wow they just called the ump blue.

People complain about everything but they haven't even scratched the surface of what the game has to offer.

For the past 18 games of my Guardians franchise I have been testing CPU contact at 7. I have been getting good results so far. The CPU is averaging 3.5 runs per game and 7.7 hits per game. I would like to the the R/G in the 4’s and maybe one more hit per game from the CPU. But it might just be from the Guardians pitching staff and/or opponents and hot streaks. I am getting about 9.5 K’s per game. If you guys want to try the change out you can.

I am just a little concerned that the CPU offense would get too weak over time.
