    Manual/ Auto Injuries Tab

    Hello everyone...
Just picked up MLB 22 (Last one i played was 19)--just trying to Navigate around the Menus.
Once upon a time, there was an option to select Injuries before going into your Franchise (even the type of Injuries)--which was handy if you wanted to START your campaign with real life injuries.....AND , if my wrinkly old man memory serves me, this option could be changed within Franchise (once you have started) to let "new" injuries occur BUT this would only work providing you SET it up in advance (Something about CPU deciding?)

Gosh I have proabley made this more more confusing.
Anyone have aclue what the bloody hell I am talking about ....lol
    Thank you for reading.

I haven't played any before last year's game. But afaik, there is no option to allow preexisting injuries in franchise, and there is no way to change the type of injuries there are.

      There are a few steps.

First you have to start the franchise first.

Next, set injuries setting to manual.

Next, go to the injured list.

There will be an option to hit R1, hit that and it will take you to the manual injuries screen.

Here you can click on a player to add or remove an injury.

Important when done to set injuries back to on. Manual injury setting will not let new injuries happen unless you add them yourself.

I had no idea you could do this. Well, I guess I'm definitely starting a new franchise now lol. Gonna try and make a list of guys missing time to start the year. I always just had everyone start the year with everyone on their major league rosters so top players weren't languishing in Triple A.

When I sim, I start doing it in year 2. I will do a RNG and pick 3 teams with it, numbering them 1-30. Then pick a second RNG number of 1-9 and that starter in that position will miss 2 months. It spices things up a bit.

It allows more storylines to develop. Especially if it is an ace of the rotation. Always fun to see who steps up.

                Re: Manual/ Auto Injuries Tab

I spent a few hours yesterday and now have a spread sheet that has everyone who started the season on the IL, and how long I'm putting them out for (I used a number generator for guys projected to be out past the middle of May or so to mix it up). Since it's Wednesday, I'll probably just wait until rosters on Friday. Hopefully guys like Cano will be added in. Maybe they'll even do the first ratings pass. Most players wouldn't be moved much, but I could see a lot of the rookies getting bigger bumps like they often do on their first ratings adjustments.
