XP cut in half by using Custom Sliders?

Question. I didn't get MLB the Show '21, so what's this about XP being cut in half if you use Custom Sliders? What Game modes does this affect? Been playing DD since the game came out, have been getting what appears to be a decent amount of XP, is that cut in half? Does it really hurt RTTS for player progression? Franchise? Why would they do this?

It's just Gameplay XP towards the current DD program. Doesn't affect RTTS progression. They did it, I guess, so people didn't just grind gameplay xp playing with heavily user favored sliders.

Imo, makes no sense and they should revert it. A lot of people used exploits in play now to grind up last year, so now there's a daily cap, and they let people use custom rosters with all 0's for their opponents. So it doesn't make any sense to penalize custom sliders.

They need to just remove the ability to earn DD XP in other modes. Makes zero sense. You wanna earn XP in DD, go play it in a controlled environment.

People will find exploits (like roster editing) in other modes no matter what you do - just cut the cord.

I say this as a 50/50 DD/franchise player as well...
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I disagree. I like still having some progress towards DD while playing Franchise. Especially with the shorter and more frequent programs we get this year.
