    A Call for Help

I know this game can be great and I also know that user ability is a great mitigating factor in how sliders can/ should work.

However, through countless games and many, many tests on varying degrees of difficulty and random outliers, I cannot find a way to get the CPU to have teeth in terms of scoring runs.

I’ve tried Legend, HoF, All-Star .. hell I’ve had contact at 7 and solid hits at 8 and still.. 14-16 hits and 2 run games. I/ we use directional hitting with classic pitching for reference.

Does anybody who plays on a harder difficulty or is a long time player have any ideas, slider suggestion on how to get the game to feel better? Ideally we want hits, runs and strikeouts, we’ve lowered timing to 3 to get the K’s we desire but then we’re left with 15 straight games with a score line of 3-2. We’ve jacked up contact, power and solid hits and we see great hitting numbers (8-14) but both teams unable even remotely score with RISP.

Default sliders are quite poor in terms of mechanics too… so, this is a call to help for anyone who is experiencing realistic results with variety (wins, losses, blowouts for both sides). I’d love to chat more, thank you if you were able to read all of this as it was much longer than I anticipated.

        Yeah can’t argue with that.

MLB 20 is the true GOAT as far as absolute balance. A tremendous game and more of my time is spent playing MLB 20 than any game in my entire video game life.

        Sage advice.

To actually help you with '22, LOL

Honestly try Armor and Swords Slider set. I have used his for years and I am very happy with the realistic results. I don't even second guess anymore. I just put his set in a go. I usually don't even update thru the year unless I see something that really makes sense.

Also once you do start a set play at minimum 10 to 15 games before making any changes. Don't get into any snap changes or you will be fighting sliders all of the time and it will suck the joy right out of the game.

We are in the same boat. We are trying Allstar pitching with sliders raised. Specifically, contact at 7, timing at 8 and solid hits at 10. Small sample size so far (15 games) and it is a different game.

I’m having a blast on default Hall of Fame 🤷*♂️. I got into slideritis earlier and got fed up. So went full clean screen default and never looked back.

Great replies in here guys, thank you.

Still testing a few theories myself, the latest has been 7 power on HoF. Granted I play 9/9 or 10/10 pitch speed so that certainly plays a factor in these but early on, the results are more of what I’m looking for. Myself and Rmiok222 have been going through it that’s for sure. If anyone else is feeling confident in their pitching try these on HoF.

Early testing has been good, saw games with 22 combined hits and 14 runs, 20 strikeouts combined and 5 walks combined and we’ve seen some with just 9 combined runs and 12 hits combined. Feel free to test!
