Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Just a question as I just remembered that you are using True Sim Rosters. Are you struggling to hit with that roster only using those sliders? What about your other franchise? Are you struggling in both? Just wondering if it is the sliders matching up with that roster. I'm thinking about starting up a Red's franchise with those rosters as well. So I'm curious to know. I have been testing that roster set in play now and I haven't been seeing the strikeouts that I normally see.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I'm looking at a few things and will hopefully have an answer tonight. I have been trying 9/5/8/5 for CPU hitting and it seems okay. Strikeouts might be a little high but it is still in reason.Follow me on Twitch

Haven’t been able to play as much lately getting adjusted to new job and getting my podcast off the ground. Rangers (21-13) are live in Seattle (15-20)

8 should be okay. Try that with timing at 10.
If that doesn’t help, try timing at 8.Follow me on Twitch

You know it could be the rosters. I never thought of that.
I got busy and haven't played in a few days. I will see what is up now.Comment

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Any official updates version 5? I have been using version 4 for quite a few games. I was using dynamic difficulty and it settled in at Legend plus maxed for pitching. And rookie plus for hitting. I suck at drawing walks. So I made the sliders permanent for legend pitching and all star hitting.
I also changed the sliders you most recently talked about. For cpu hitting.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I have been getting really good results with the below settings. The CPU offense isn’t crazy and the strikeouts are improved. Will play more games before I make it official.
CPU
Contact: 8
Power: 5
Timing: 10
Foul Freq: 10
Solid Hits: 5Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I really like these sliders a lot. Using what bryanm1982 posted above me.
I just wish the CPU would do more damage on meatballs. If I fall behind 2-0 or 3-0 against power guys, they won't take a hack on my "get-it-over" fastball right down the middle. I don't think there is anything you can do to fix this with sliders, though.Ryan Spencer

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Okay, guys. For those that are still using these sliders, I want to thank you for using them and putting up with our craziness. I want to apologize for all the changes. I am upset that we couldn't get these locked in sooner. It has been so difficult to balance out the CPU hitting this year. There were moments I just wanted to give up. But I think I got this figured out. I have finally been able to see realistic strikeouts. Just played two games and had 6 and 7 strikeouts. While not making the CPU go crazy on hits. I have tested these with several games and averaged about 9 hits and 8.5 K per game. I think this should be our final version and it should be good enough to carry us until 24.
The OP is updated.
The changes are below. Still using Allstar pitching.
CPU Contact: 8 (at 10, the CPU's batting average was way too high and we couldn't stop them from getting hits).
CPU Power: 5
CPU Timing: 10 (helps them from swinging way too early)
CPU Foul Freq: 10 (made a big difference in lowering K's as they would foul more pitches off.
CPU Solid Hits: 5
CPU SP Stamina: 10 if you use QC (we raised it to 10 but that is a user preference. We were seeing too many pitchers that shouldn't have been tired that fast get pulled from the game.
We hope these changes improve everybody's game. I know I'm starting to have fun again playing this. Please let me know if you have any questions and we appreciate your feedback.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Hey guys. I apologize if this has already been discussed somewhere but I can’t find anything. Even when I google it. Every time my infielders dove for a ball it boots off of them. When the cpu dives for a ball it’s a scoop up and they throw me out. Is this a glitch in the game? Or is it a slider issue or what? I play franchise only and I play auto fielding using these exact sliders. I tweaked the hitting slightly to line up with my play style but that’s it. Anyone else having the same problem?
