I do feel like 24 will be similar to 23 with a few updates. And no new features to franchise. I feel like there will be more people disappointed after tonight than thrilled because they have high expectations. Last year, they previewed a new draft overhaul when they scheduled the premiers. But this year, they didn’t give us any description on each premier. So that tells me it’s nothing too dramatic. I have 24 preordered so either way, I’m excited.

I think people have high expectations cause they are always waiting for this big upgrade to come.

I can tell you one thing Bryan SDS is completely out of touch !

As a Mets fan the Jeter Storyline mode is utterly useless to me. I don't like Jeter that much. You think any Red Sox fans are going to play that mode at all?

I don't know where they are getting their ideas about adding stuff like that from.

All these pre game specials they keep producing and still no video on anything related to game play and game physics.

It is quite frustrating that they put so much time and effort on these new storylines and us franchise people would LOVE half of that effort each year.

SDS and its not close lol.

Mets ownership/leadership spent money, like all teams fans want them to do. The money they spent those players ended up hurt and entire team in general under performed. Leadership did an outstanding job trading away that money so to speak stocking up the farm system. Made the best of a crappy situation, honestly.

Vintage Mets though for sure.. But I feel like this team this year is going to be better than last year, which won't be hard to do LOL.

They signed Verlander to a 2 year 86 million contract. Now after trading him at the deadline last year they are stuck with paying 35 million this year from that deal.

If they were not going to keep him for 2 years then that is a horrible contract all the way around.

They made a 35 million dollar mistake which is crippling us right now.
I don't think SDS has quite got to that level of foolishness yet.

I am trying to figure out how Eppler and Cohen signed off on that deal.

They would have been better off to try to resign Bassitt assuming he wanted to come back. Perhaps he did not want to.

Senga-Bassitt-Scherzer would have been a decent top 3 last year.

For sure Bassitt would have been great to have back. Always a dog on the hill.

Let's also not act like that 35 million is crippling the franchise right now. If Steve wanted to, he would spend whatever. With that said there ain't anyone worth a crap out in free agency still or even in general that signed already worth it for the Mets right now.

We have an owner that will spend, he went nuts last year etc, its didn't work out. If it did everyone would be singing a different tune, but it didn't and we move on.

Again, if this team can stay healthy this year and actually play to their capabilities they will be ok and right in the thick of things.

They might just have me with the bigger bases. I only just got 23 a couple of months ago because I was disappointed in the lack of implementation of the bases and the step off rules. But if those are in I’m probably buying 24 day one.

Yeah, I plan on it. Hopefully Steve gets this game as well so we can test together. Been playing on HOF lately so hopefully we can play on that in 24.

They won't upgrade the graphics but they will play Riverboat gambler in every other aspect.

I can't wait until next week to see what this game is like.

After the Super Bowl, you start getting that baseball itch and look forward to hearing about the new game. And nothing so far makes you think anything substantial changed. Yes, 23 was an awesome game but some fine-tuning needs to be made. Like, for example, we should be able to do these 3-year deals with opt-outs after each year like Bellinger and Chapman got.

The pitch clock looks pretty cool as long as it is done right. We didn't get any presentation premiers so I assume they didn't add any new ballpark exterior views.

What I don't understand about SDS is I am not sure what the long term plan is.

I was going to make 2k my second game but I am going to play FC 24 instead. The grass on that game looks absolutely phenomenal on current gen. That is one thing that EA Sports has done right. It looks really good.

SDS seemingly isn't making next gen graphics and presentation a priority which is absolutely mind boggling.

I'm definitely not keeping my fingers crossed hoping to find out on today's ratings reveal show.

What does everyone think of the new feature that allows you to control how you sim or play your franchise games?

I think it is a good feature I just wish they added MORE things like that.

I also like the fact that you now can choose franchise rosters with or without injuries.

Franchise mode could be really great if they would add more things to it so we can get a full GM experience.

If you have ever played 2k franchise mode you know how extensive and detailed that it is. It is so deep you can't even keep track of everything sometimes.

Hey Bryan, how ya been? not sure if you remember me but I really enjoyed your sliders last year, I just got burnt out on what seemed to be constant tweaks (not your fault) and never really being able to "settle in"...lol

I have been playing 23 here and there, and will be playing 24 next week with the early access stuff on Xbox, I am glad to see that you have been playing on HOF as well...one more quick question, do you still plan on using quick counts?

I remember the strikeout issue that DarthRambo had last year, which I had never encountered as I didn't use QC, but I had always thought that that may be the problem..obviously not positive but just a hunch.

Anyway glad to see you will be back in the mix this year as well
