I think the CPU hitting has been adjusted post patch today.. I swear the cpu hitting is back to the bite it had pre update 2. They are squaring up on the ball more which is something I noticed and commented in the impressions thread pre update 2

Just a quick update here. Reaction can go down to 5.

Testing user solid hits at 3 and keeping cpu solid hits at 4.

Oh hell no!!!....the last update made the game play damn near perfect for me, I will not be touching another slider, I just gotta stay strong this time and trust what I'm seeing and feeling....lol

I gave up 7 runs in an inning today, all varieties of hits. Bloopers, double off the wall, a gapper that my RF misjudged running down, scorchers down the line. With Quick counts on it, it made pitching tough! I will say I've never had an inning like that in all my years of playing MLBTS.

Perfect! I’m probably just going to keep all solid hits at 4. In my Mariners franchise I lost to the Cubs 2-0. The next game the Rockies beat me 10-7. Was down 6-0 and Rodriguez hit a game tying grand slam in the 4th and then the Rockies scored in the 8th and 9th to make it 10-7. Nice to see that after a 2-0 game.

I haven’t noticed much difference in gameplay if at all. Still plays a great game. They fixed the boxscore issue. I think it was a good patch for us.

I am thinking of using Diaz for my franchise.

The reason is simple --the CPU programming is tougher this year. It's not like it's going to let up just because I am being as realistic as I can.

I am 4-1 with the Mets but I think I have played 3 extra inning games. Each game comes down to some crucial at bat or important roster move. None of the games has been a easy win. I have had to make multiple pitching changes each game. In my last game I used 6 pitchers to win a 10 inning game.

If someone has gaps in their baseball knowledge they will struggle this year. You truly have to understand the game to stay on top of everything.

Yeah, I don’t usually play with real life injuries. I would want to play with that player especially if he is good. And it is your own universe so he doesn’t have to be hurt in there. Lol

Yes sir! That is the kind of baseball we want. You'll soon have easier wins and bad losses though. But for sure, most games are going to test your managerial skills. I love that aspect of the game coming into play.

I remember one game I intentionally walked the bases loaded with 1 out in the 9th and up by a run. Brought the infield in and got a double play. Just beautiful gamesmanship that really can kick your butt if you're not on your game sometimes.

Curious on pitch counts. 11 games in, starters are consistently hitting the 80 pitch range by the end of the 4th, both CPU and HUM.
Just an example, Shane Bieber stat line through 4 innings was 103 pitches, 5K, 2 hits, 1 run.
2nd time through the rotation and he was at 5.1 IP, 97 pitches, 4K, 3 hits, 0 runs.
I had to pull him both times.
CPU is same, Luis Castillo was 5 IP, 3K, 110 pitches, 7 hits, 4 runs.

In last year's game if you made a bullpen move it was guaranteed to work to a certain degree. Now you can bring in a reliever and have it blow up in your face. Sometimes your reliever can't hit the strike zone so you fall behind in the count and then you have to come over the plate.

The Mets have a reliever named Sam Coonrod who has a 98 mph fastball that I cannot locate in the strike zone. It is realistic to the point of pure frustration and with the newer rules you have to keep a pitcher in for 3 batters before you take him out of the same inning. So if your reliever bombs you are in deep trouble.

Extra innings is a whole nother level of intrigue because you start out with a runner on 2nd.

Yes using quick counts, HUM at 5 and CPU 6 as posted in OP.
