Well I know the True Sim rosters they make drastic edits to the players. Like he has his own formula for speed and outfielder speed. So I think that factors in as well. I don’t think the ratings from OOTB and Fidelity rosters are completely way off. It might be more potential ratings that changed than anything. Looking over some of the Cardinals players like Burelson is a couple overall points higher than the base roster. I think his contact is like 10 points higher.

Has anyone simmed with the fidelity roster? I found last year I think the strikes was Low and walks real high or the other way round? Either way a global edit he did kinda messed things up

I'm definitely not gonna mess with sliders as the game feels great with the latest version...what I was worried about (and why I brought it up) was when edits are applied.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Okay good to know.....what I failed to mention earlier was that in my 2 test games, the hitting felt....how should I say "soft"? I mean yea I did get a HR, but overall in the 2 games I played the hitting didn't feel as strong as before when I used a different roster.

These games are super competitive. I got lucky and hit 2 solo home runs. Tough game.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I’m using quick counts. Kind of simulates pitch clock for me where as when I step in the box or on mound, I need to be focused and ready to swing away or throw a necessary strike.Last edited by Mikeyo918; 04-15-2023, 07:48 PM.Miami Heat

I played quick counts in the past but switched back to conventional play as I felt with QC I couldn't get into the "flow" of the game and get use to the "feel" of my pitchers.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Played such a great game before work earlier. I was up 5-0 early on. Rockies bullpen did well to hold me to 5 until their offense got going.
A silly dive a miss by My CF caused 2 runs to score in the 7th to make it 5-3. They made it 5-4 in the 8th with a solo HR by McMahon, his 7th of the year already. I got to their late inning RP and had bases loaded no outs in the 9th. Unfortunately I struck out twice, then walked in one run. Clase came in for three straight groundball outs for his 8th save of the season already.
COL 4 9 1 (4BB 8K) 2 2B, HR
CLE 6 11 1 (3BB 11K) 2 2B, HR
Really love this game this year. For me, this is the best one yet. Now if I can just remember to scout on Sundays lol. I missed the last opportunity cause I'm not used to it. In the past I put scouting on manual for all 30 teams, never scouted anyone, and drafted blind for fun. This year you really can't afford to do that.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
boy, I am having a hard time with this game the last three days. I don´t know, if the patch changed something. I am seeing way tooo many hits by the CPU. I went back to the OP sliders, because I thought, my slider changes are not working out, but it stays the same. The problem I face is, it doesn´t make fun and feels so skripted.
Every inning there are players on base. It can start like that: 2 easy outs, very confident, ahead with 2 strikes and suddenly nothing is working. I either get three balls (at the edge, but ruled as ball, pathetic balls way out off the zone) or a very easy pitch into the middle that leads to a double. That happens with different outcomes, either 2-3 runs or an out but then the runs happen in the next inning.
Don´t get me wrong, I like the offense, but my pitchers never get to the high confident level. CPU gets 4-5 doubles a game.
You could say, I just suck at pitching, but last week, I was getting 10+ ks and very little hits and runs, just like last year.
Something else I have to watch closely, I started several Franchises the other week with the roster full minors 2.0 and had interesting results, Mets, Braves, Astros, Dodgers all starting with a negative record (I use real life injuries), yesterday I downloaded the fidility roster and all the good teams are leading with very easy wins.Comment
