I think the consensus around here was the MR4 was the best place for the long relief pitcher. The only fall back is, if they need a spot starter, they will still use the guy in the LR1 spot. Which is okay because teams use a opener anyway. So that works out perfectly. He'll go about 2 innings if they start him. If the CPU does need to go to the bullpen in the early innings, they'll not always go to the long relief or 6th starter. They'll just plug in pitchers to go 1-2 innings at a time. At the end of the year, you will see the 6th starter or long man have about 40-50 appearances and about 60 innings.

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
Does anyone know of a post Opening Day roster set that would be good to use for a franchise? I don't typically play more than 1 season as I play all 162 games. So I really just want the MLB rosters and updated ratings accurate rather than just all prospect focused.Comment

I use the roster "Complete Franchise Update v5". That has like 7,000 downloads and is really good. The username is strictlysports20.
It has all the international free agents.Follow me on Twitch

If you can wait a couple of days, there should be a roster update on Friday. I'm hoping they do the opening day rosters with injuries. The one mentioned above looked pretty good too.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I guess I’m just getting old cause I’ve always done decent with these sliders but this year in Franchise, I’m 0-12 with the Cardinals to start the season. Thinking I may have to back down to All Star on hitting. Any suggestions on what to do slider wise where I’m not not hitting like crazy on All Star?Comment

Don’t be afraid to go some to Allstar hitting. Try default. Steve is on Allstar with timing at 0.I guess I’m just getting old cause I’ve always done decent with these sliders but this year in Franchise, I’m 0-12 with the Cardinals to start the season. Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I am playing with directional. But if you don't influence your screen, it is the same as timing. Timing doesn't let you influence your swing like if you want to hit the opposite way or if you want to pull the ball. If you have it on directional, you can influence your swing if you want. But other than that, there is no difference.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I always hit on Allstar default hitting sliders and it works great for me. The only thing I usually eventually do is drop timing slider down to 0 so I get realistic amount of strikeouts. Which I just noticed Bryan said above. Hitting can vary depending on how well you read pitches and react. The older I get the slower my reaction time is. Idk how these guys play with pitch speeds at 9 or 10. I need to lower pitch speed if I do anything lol.I guess I’m just getting old cause I’ve always done decent with these sliders but this year in Franchise, I’m 0-12 with the Cardinals to start the season. Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
Just a quick heads up, you don't have to switch to timing, I use directional with "stick influence" (I think that's the name...lol) turned off, so no aiming or influencing anything...if I want to attempt to pull the ball I will swing a bit early, if I want to push the ball I will try to be a bit late on my swing.
But as has been mentioned timing and directional are pretty much the same.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment
