    Re: Rmiok222 MLB 24 Directional/Classic HOF Sliders

So I was so sick of legend and was about to literally just stop playing the game. Massive massive props to Brian and Steve for S&B sliders because their cpu hitting sliders literally saved this game for me.

Legend is really weird this year. I just can’t figure it out. HOF with adjustments plays SO MUCH BETTER and way more realistic. I was hesitant to even update my set because it’s literally S&B cpu hitting sliders. I am posting and updating though to simply share what I am using after using S&B cpu hitting sliders as a base. So props to them. I didn’t come up with the cpu hitting sliders. They did.

OP updated with what I am using though.

I can’t wait try the update later tonight. Did you change the human hitting sliders too?

Good. I was hitting way too well with old old set.

Oops. Already found a typo. Cpu contact is 6, not 5. Fixed it

I'll give these a whirl tonight as well.

I was on legend/legend and CPU hitting was decent, but I cannot hit on legend, even using timing.

I do use pinpoint pitching though so if the HOF CPU hitting isn't what I'm looking for, I will just move back to legend as it was giving believable results.

It's mainly the hitting I want to feel more realistic and not have me hitting so many HRs.

              Thanks!

Do you use the ball marker when pitching?

I tried S&B sliders for cpu hitting because I was in a bad spot with the game. Specifically cpu offense like you said. They worked great. Only change I made was 4/4 user control consistency. Those two have cpu offense spot on in my opinion. I went down to hall of fame too obviously.

My hitting sliders are different though. I might post. Not sure because obviously they’re pretty identical since I started from S&B’s base version 3 set for cpu hitting.

Actually, S&B's V3 is what I've been using for most of my time with this game. Agree they have it dialed in pretty good. I'm still seeing a big difference between how my Starters perform against the CPU and my bullpen. Could just be on a hot streak with my starters and a cold streak with all my relievers though.

That’s a good sign bc my starters are dialed in right now. I’m sure it’s just a streak.

Anyone have any tips for hitting? I can’t seem to get any power on hits. Most are just bloopers to shallow outfield. Also how many home runs are you guys averaging? I am hitting maybe 1 every 5 games. (I follow these sliders and settings exact)

I don’t know if you use an influence or not when using directional. In hitters counts I’m typically looking for a pitch middle in and trying to pull it, pulling the ball gets you a bit more power. I usually hit about 1 homerun a game and with the settings in the OP I’ve hit 4 in a game.

So do you generally use an influence? I rarely ever use an influence/direction. Maybe that’s my issue.

I actually do most of the time. Most hitters are pull hitters. So any 0-0 or hitter count I am trying to pull the ball. Even 1-1 count I’ll try to pull too. If I’m down 0-2 or 1-2 in the count I’ll try to push the ball by pressing away from the hitter with the left stick because your bat stays in the zone a little longer.

This set is very close to what I have adjusted based on S&B. I did max out the injury sliders, so when a pitcher gets drilled by a comebacker, he sometimes gets taken out, but doesn’t miss a start. This may be exactly what I need, especially the consistency suggestion. Thanks for putting this together!
