As the season progresses the offense picks up.
I think The Show does a great job representing the ebbs and flow of real baseball.

My recommendation is to keep playing (without tweaking sliders) until the calendar reaches mid May.
If it still feels off to you, then it might be time to adjust.

Armor, I am going to start a franchise using 2011 roster. I was wondering using your sliders when you sim other games in league is there a problem with too many complete games. If so do you change any slider values when simming.
Also how do you handle the bullpen. I know when I played games using current rosters the bullpen logic was messed up. Thanks always enjoy your slidersComment

I read and used this bullpen setup and it worked great.
LR1 and 2 lowest ranked relievers with stamina less than 40. (May have to edit stamina)
SU1 best reliever that isn’t closer with stamina less than 50
SU2 blank
CL - closer stamina less than 30
MR1,2,3 relievers ranked best to worst with stamina less than 50
MR4 can be long reliever or starter (stamina doesn’t matter)
Before you play a game, for cpu, put the MR1 reliever into SU2
Also, for the cpu starter, before you play increase his stamina by 10 so they can pitch deeper into the game if they are pitching well
This setup worked the best that I ever usedYankees modern day

Last year we lowered SP stamina to 2, RP stamina to 0 and hook to 10 for simmed games. Worked very well

Re: Armor & Sword's Clean Screen Classic/Directional MLB The Show 24 Sliders (ATG Tun
Only thing you may tweak is starter stamina....to tune where you think you want it....me I am good with the OP for any roster or era.
As far as 25.....everything will depend on what I see in February leading up to the release.
My priorities have changed with franchise mode. Since I play every pitch every inning....how far am I going to get with each iteration? Couple that with other rosters I love to play......it's not even about Franchise mode for longevity anymore.
It's all about "give us full customization to create any era we want".
Division realignment. Eliminate expansion teams, Era based rule options.....that's what I want to see more than anything.
Without Y2Y...my incentive for another Yankees 8 year and still going franchise is dead. If I can't continue on the latest game......my motivation has died.
I like playing a better version if it really is. 23 and 24 are better on the diamond than 20...there I said it. They play a better game of baseball.
But I can't get invested into multi year franchises anymore.....and that's ok. I love playing one full season and moving on to another roster.
Spice of life.
When you play a game as long as I have with The Show sometimes you gotta re-invent how you approach it.
My new approach with modern and classic baseball is one and done and move on to the next roster....it's great.
So let's see what 25 has added. If anything it will be my modern season on 25 and I will continue classic baseball on 24.....and then by year end ATG and company will have some other rosters done for 25.
So I am undecided on 25 right now......but my baseball itch is in full swing.Last edited by Armor and Sword; 01-27-2025, 12:12 PM.Now Playing on PS5:

I am waiting for opening day rosters to be put in the vault to start a modern day franchise on '24. Now I guess I have to buy '25 as well!!Yankees modern day

Quick question, is it okay to use current rosters with these sliders?Comment

So I know that with 26 or 40 man rosters you would roll with injuries off. My question is with 93 man classic rosters would you play with them on for single season replay or off? Player preference?Purple people eatersComment

Question regarding injuries when playing with classic rosters and single season replays.

BTW, for anyone still wondering:
In the 2024 real MLB season the total # of CG's was 28 and the total # of 200 IP pitchers was 4.
Using Armor's exact OP slider set, BUT changing SP stamina to 2, RP stamina to 0 and hook to 10 when simming games got me to within 5% of those #'s. I tested simming the entire season 10 x's, so I am really confident in saying the 2/0/10 sim set up works and holds up really well. The only problem is I saw several RP's pitch north of 100 games. Grrrr.
