For those sticking with MLBTS 24: HOF Sliders

I've only tested these (in franchise mode) with modern day (not classic) rosters. 48 games total.

Direction Hitting: retro view ***wide is another solid choice***
    Classic Pitching: broadcast view
In game cam: (broadcast) ***medium is another solid choice***

No ball marker, but I do let the catcher call my pitches and location.
If I really don't agree with the pitch selection, I step off. There is some strategy doing it this way, because you only get 2 of those per AB.

Auto: field, throw, slide, baserunning and shift

On: baserunning window/diamond, pitch clock, universal DH, x inning runner rule, ejections, warm up RP, injuries

Off: pitch confidence, strike zone, hot/cold zone, balks (I try to be as clean screen as possible)

Umps: Personalized strike zone close plays on

    Human Contact: 5
    Human Power: 5
    Human Timing: 5
    Human Foul Frequency: 5
    Human Solid Hits: 4
    Human SP Stamina: 5
    Human RP Stamina: 4

    Human Pitch Consistency: 4

    CPU Contact: 5
    CPU Power: 5
    CPU Timing: 5
    CPU Foul Frequency: 5
    CPU Solid Hits: 4
CPU SP Stam: 6 (add +10 to SP's stam attribute before game, then revert back post game)
CPU RP Stam: 4 (seeing more variety of pitchers being used during a series)
    CPU Pitch Control: 4
    CPU Pitch Consistency: 4
    CPU Strike Frequency: 4
    CPU Manager Hook: 4
    CPU Pickoffs: 5

Fastball Pitch Speed: 6 (7 works too, just depends on hitting cam and tv)
Offspeed Pitch Speed: 6 (7 works too, just depends on hitting cam and tv)
    Fielding Errors Infield: 6
    Fielding Errors Outfield: 5
    Throwing Errors Infield: 6
    Throwing Errors Outfield: 5
Fielder Run Speed: 6 (shocked how much better this feels and looks)

Wow these look really good! Thanks for sharing! How do you go about catcher suggestions because I thought the pitch com gets in the way?

      Thanks Dowie

      So no Legend pitching?
      You are not buying ‘25?
I’m a modern franchise guy as well. Are these different from Armour’s because his sliders (and legend pitching) are designed for classic rosters?

Under display - turn ON fielding icons.

Don’t worry - it’s still clean screen on both sides of the ball, with exception of the catchers mitt icon (which I like).

Yes, his sliders are tuned for ATG / historical rosters and he crushed it. They play amazing!

They’ll work for modern rosters too.

I just didn’t like how it was playing out for me in my modern day chise. Especially with legend pitching.

My plan is to wait and buy 25 till next Christmas.

I’m trying these exact sliders but with “catcher near” batting view and pitch speeds at 7/7

Might be a silly question but now I see the mit but how do I know what pitch to select?

Pitch select display must be ON.

The text under the pitch type will blink/light up, telling u what pitch the catcher wants you to throw.

That’s why I said it’s almost total clean screen.

The pitch types have to be on the screen or there is no way for the cpu to tell u what pitch to throw.

Copy that thank you. I noticed I walk more batters this way. Which is a good thing in my opinion

These look really good and look forward to plugging in.

Do you guys have an updated roster that you use?

                    Thanks

I used a SD Studios roster update from early/mid April.

I didn't test these with a roster set from any of the awesome roster makers on here (like Cycloniac) who plug in their own ratings system to generate player attributes.

Are you still using these exact sliders Dowie? I’m struggling to find my sweet spot before I start my franchise with opening day rosters. I have really tried to use legend pitching (have always done what Armour does), but I don’t think I can handle it. I have tried with quality pitchers like Wheeler and Skenes and simply do not get good results - too many pitches, hits and runs given up. I also tried his HOF setup (CPU contact 7, power 6) and I still struggle. I am using MrMets Feb. 20 roster and still trying to figure out what sliders to use for my franchise

Hey Burgess - if any slider sets aren’t working for you, there is no shame going straight HOF difficulty and default sliders.

The Show is a rare breed, where you can absolutely not touch sliders and have a very good 162 game season experience.
