    In-game menu...

I used to have quite a good compilation of songs for MLB The Show that I used while I was in the menu screens. I'm going to have to see if I can find my old flash drive somewhere and pray that the songs are still on there somewhere. In any case, I figured now is as good a time as any to start a list of good baseball songs that could be used for MLB 16. Please feel free to list any songs you like to use so that myself (and others) who may not be aware of them can use them. I'm going to list mine in two categories and I'll add to it as I can remember some of them. The first is general baseball songs and the second is team specific, meaning that someone that's playing as a team other than (The Cubs, for example) might not want to use.

    General Baseball Songs

Centerfield by John Fogerty (probably the most obvious choice and one of my favorites)
    Cheap Seats by Alabama
The Natural theme song (not sure who the composer is)
Take Me Out to the Ballgame by Bruce Springsteen
    Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen
    Talkin' Baseball by Terry Cashman
    Talkn' Softball (The Simpson's episode)
The Baseball Card Song by The Baseball Project

    Cubs Songs

Go Cubs Go by Steve Goodman
All the Way by Eddy Vedder
Sweet Home Chicago by the Blues Brothers

As far as I know, the Texas Rangers have two songs that relate to them. "That's the Way Baseball Go" was rewritten for the team by Merle Haggard based on Ron Washington's famous phrase. "Ode to the Texas Rangers" by the Mark Singletary Band was the lead in song to Rangers ballgames in the 1970s and is played from time to time at the Ballpark.

If you're looking for general baseball music, The Baseball Project is tough to beat, with songs like "Box Scores" and "The Baseball Card Song."

I'll add a couple of these to my post.

You can't go wrong with Jet Set and Gathering Crowds, the opening and closing themes to This Week In Baseball.

Team specific songs that I've come across... Meet The Mets, Here Come The Yankees, Let's Go, Go-Go White Sox, We're Gonna Win Twins, and Bye Bye Baby for the Giants.

Might as well throw in Tessie by the Dropkick Murphys if you're a Red Sox fan or want that MVP Baseball vibe again!
When the Giants come to town, it's Bye Bye Baby...

Google "Ken Burns Baseball soundtrack" and you're set. Seriously.

While it's good, that's not really what I want to listen to while I'm in the in-game menu's on MLB The Show. But to each their own.
