Your post made me think as well. My setting is set to automatic though I'm using my Sony headphones. Maybe that is part of the problem?

I'm going to set it to headphones at lunch today and see what the results are and will report back.

Just sucks that I can't delete my files...the bug report site is down as well.

Your using Sony headphones. The gaming ones? Thats what I use and on default settings the songs I imported from the starter pack are almost too loud. I was even thinking about turning down the music slider even.

The fact you can't delete files is not good I'm really wondering if somethings borked for you.

Re: Volume levels of imported MP3s

So I changed the audio setting to headphones and what a difference.

Volume is fine for me now using the settings on page 1 first post given by CujoMatty. Probably not perfect but very close and the volume difference between my imported music compared to the stock music in game is minute and I'll roll on with these settings.

Thanks CujoMatty for helping out. SOTS really brings the game to life.

For anyone interested, in mp3gain I set the db to 97.0 and made the change to all my files. Broadcast themes, walkups, in game cues etc.

The end result is most are in the 96 range but it is working well so far.

Glad you found a solution, R9ALD. It sure takes a lot of tweaking. I've tried all the settings, and what makes it difficult is for each one the sliders have to be tweaked, so it's difficult to compare one to the other. I have found I'm having the best experience with the "2 channel Stereo" setting. Level-wise, everything is sounding good with the exception of some of those darn music cues that we cannot change. For instance, I can play an entire game and be pleased with how it sounds, but then the "Topps Player of the Game" comes on and blasts my ears out, scares the pets, wakes up the neighbors, etc

Hopefully there will eventually be an option for turning off all music cues that you don't want.

            LMAO!

Glad you are coming right as well. My chants are waaaay to soft though, so will have to make them louder and re-import.

Some changes I wish they make is, since they have 3 broadcast types, I personally would love for them to add 3 more bringing the total to 6.

Then they must make it that you have 5 everyday ones and the last one is national television version which will ALWAYS be used for big game, world series games etc.

Then bringing the SOTS into it, instead of giving a pregame etc. for each team, rather let you edit the music cues of each broadcast package. A long version which will be played in the beginning of the game and a shorter version between innings.

Then you can assign a broadcast package (excluding national television) to a team. And why not go all out and let us choose the graphics, score layout etc. for each package as well...hell let us create as many broadcast packages we want hahaha

Must say I hate it to have a cool ESPN, Fox intro playing when the game starts but between innings it just by default plays default songs. I use mid innings for "sweet caroline" etc. not broadcast themes.
