    GoldWave help please....

Does anyone have a good method of adding songs in groups of 3's for SOTS using GoldWave? I've tried hours to figure it out. Audacity (to me) is so much more intuitive. Any pointers would be great. Can you put spacing into the "File Merger" tool? Copying and pasting songs is a real time killer in the basic method GoldWave uses. I'm sure there is an easier way. Thanks!

Sorry I didn't get back to you. been busy.

    Here's a little help.

Hit ctrl + n to start a new track.
Highlight the part of the song you want to have on the new track by dragging the cursor over the song left and right.(you can also erase every thing other than the highlighted section by hitting ctrl + t for trim) and then hit ctrl + c for copy.
Then select the blank new track you made by clucking anywhere on it and hit ctrl + v for paste. It will automatically put it at the beginning of your new track.
Then do the same for song number 2 but on your new track highlight where you want song number 2 to be so usually 15 or 30 seconds after the first song and when you paste it will start at where you made the highlighted section. It doesn't matter if the song is longer than what you highlited. Repeat for song 3.
Then highlight the the grouped 3 songs and add 10 seconds to the end and trim with ctrl + t and your done.

Big help. Thanks man. I love the file merge tool as you don't have to copy and paste anything but I can't see where it allows you to put separations in there. That option would have been a huge time-saver but it won't work for SOTS. Thanks.

        Cujo, last message....sorry!

        1) I see that you normalized your tracks to 98db. Are you using MP3Gain or another tool? When I went anything higher than 96db it would distort some songs (especially Rap songs that have bass in them). Please let me know what tool you are using and what you do to prevent that type of distortion.

        2) Also are you using GoldWave to do your reverbs?

        Thank you!

You have to make sure that all 3 songs on the track are close to the same volume before you run it through mp3 gain. You can do that with goldwave. There's a gain knob looking thing at the top of goldwave. Just highlight each song and raise or lower the gain so all the green squiggly lines are the same height. Then run through mp3 gain. The distortion I found doesn't really matter. When the game adds reverb you can't hear it anymore.

As far as reverb I use goldwave. Just go to effects then reverb then I choose the concert hall setting in the drop box. You only have to add reveeb to home run and possibly win songs though. The game automaticaly adds reverb to everything else

Cool thanks. I can't seem to find the "gain knob" you are referring to in GoldWave. What's the icon titled as? I tried all of the volume gain icons but none of them anything like a graph with the green squiggly lines you are referring to. Sorry to be a pest...I'm almost there
