SOTS Problems? I have a suggestion

This is really for franchise players.

It seems the problem is importing too many songs.

Here's what you could do to get by until its fixed. Its actually what I normally do and why I never discovered the issue.

I imported enough sounds to have 40 menu music songs then my team and the next 3 i played in franchise. That basically got me thru a month on the schedule and I figured that would get me until the regular season packs would be out anyways. Last year I imported all the music at once and i found myself deleting and importing for every little update so I came up with this plan.

I know that its not a solution and its probably obvious but I figured i'd put this out there in case someone hadn't thought of it.

That is not a bad idea. What I wound up doing last year was just doing the network sounds and stadium sounds. I didn't do the player sounds.

Same, I did a combo of both of you guys. Ive put in my rival teams and my divisonal teams that I play often. And, for the rest I just do the network and stadium tracks mostly. Aside from my own team

So just so I'm clear, the bug is happening when IMPORTING too many songs at once, and it's not that the game can't hold more than 480ish songs at once?

For example, would I be able to import all 530+ songs I have and have them stick as long as I break it up into 2 or 3 separate imports?

Or will I still have the problem of losing my tracks because I have too many, and I should wait until the patch to start adding them?

I dont know what the hell is going on. I cant get it to import any new file and half of my files disappeared

Ya something is seriously wrong. The devs said they are working on a fix though

I think I may be on to a new bug as well.


After I imported files and started assigning stuff to players and teams.....When I start games....I don’t get any pre-game broadcast (using MLB Network presentation so far every game) it cuts straight to the first pitch after the game load.

No showing lineups, no two batters pointing their bats into the camera....nothing.

Going to delete everything and then see if it comes back.

Besides.....I want to wait for the patch now and then get all the SOTS up and running with no bugs or worries.

I will report back on this new bug.

Bug confirmed.

You will lose broadcast introductions in franchise mode with any SOTS files assigned or not.

I deleted all SOTS files I had and it came back.

This feature is on hold till it is patched and I will report it as soon as their server is back up.

This is a major bummer if true. Can anyone else confirm this? I feel like I've read people saying theirs works but I have no idea which thread. I always look forward to using real walk-ups but not at the expense of the presentation. I've got some of my files imported and assigned, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

I initially loaded 185 songs. No problems so far. Great work again and thank you!

I don't think you guys are understanding what I am trying to say.

I have pre game music at default. Nothing to do with adding team specific music.

Simply put once you get out of the game load screen it goes straight to the first pitch. It cuts out a ton of "pre game" presentation.

I reproduced the bug several times as well as other people.

Once I deleted all my SOTS files off my game everything worked again.

I will try it again and load in only the AL East, assign it and see if it occurs again. If so....
I am just going to wait till a patch.

i can confirm as well, im on regular ps4, and i had the same issue, i actually had about 10 teams completed, it also locked up my ps4 menu's until i deleted all of the custom sounds, when i went back it was back to normal.

Been working all morning on just the AL East. I am about to load it all to the parks and players.

I will let you know if all is well.

This may have something to do with files exceeding that magic 500 I don’t really know.

But things are very buggy and I hope SDS can pinpoint it all. I must have SOTS working like last season and I want those 1000 slots they advertised.

And their bug reporting IMO is not good. It is a mess over on Theshownation. Tons of fluff and nonsense and real bugs are getting buried.

I am glad they read our forums.
