An initial “legend” pack is in the works and coming soon! I’ve been researching mostly players from last year’s game as well as the announced new legends for this year. I’m hoping it post them this weekend!

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
Here's something that we may have overlooked until just recently. Now that The Show 20 is including a full minors roster this year, the question has come up about minor league packs. My opinion is MLB packs are the priority, but I'd be willing to build minor league packs if there was any info on them. If anyone finds walk ups for minor league teams and want them constructed, let me know and I'll give them a shot!
The only problem with adding MILB packs is we will quickly find out what the limit is for sound files.Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
Legends pack is 90 percent done! Here's what has been done:
-Side Effect is heavily to thank for this pack. Without his hard work, we wouldn't have the pack at all!
-The way I organized the pack, there are confirmed sounds for legends, and then a separate folder of "what if legends". It's just songs that we thought fit the player. I also added time period music. My thoughts were that if the player didn't like a song we chose for them, I created 3 songs for each decade to choose from. And if anyone has any questions on what decade to choose for a player, the files are listed with their years in the league.
-We weren't able to put all walk ups that every player used in their whole career. Instead, I picked up to three, and I placed them in chronological order. For example, Jorge Posada has 3 songs, so the first song would be the oldest song that we found from him.
-Of course, we know that this isn't perfect. The resources were extremely limited on this, which makes the work that Side Effect did even more appreciated!
Once I upload the link, look for lowlight's post on adding it!Last edited by BU1B22; 03-03-2020, 11:08 AM.Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
My thoughts are that if someone doesn't wanna add them to their game, they don't have to. For example, I'm a Braves fan. If we got a ton of minor league info, I'd most likely set up my game with full MLB sounds and then add the Braves minor league sounds. I'd be willing to bet that even if we had the space to add all minor and major league sounds, not many would have the time or interest in adding every single team (I already struggle putting all 30 teams in myself)
I agree 110% with you. I'm a Red Sox fan. The Cubs AA affiliate is less than 30 minutes from my house, and most of my family are Braves fans. The struggle is real for me as well lolComment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
The legends pack is live. Once lowlight posts it on the first page, it'll be live for everyone to use. There are a ton of players, so until we know exactly how much space we can use for music this year, I don't recommend uploading every player on the game unless there are certain players you are looking for.
Once again, thanks to Side Effect for all his time on the research!

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
I'm still not clear about the limits. Is this limit a total sound file limit? I've downloaded the packs but have deleted the files I don't want. I basically just kept the player music and consolidated the organ music, chants, and vendor so I didn't have 30 hot dog guys etc. I still want to add my music too.Comment

Yes. In years past, there has been a limit on the number of sound files you can add to SOTS. I'm not sure what the number will be this year. I believe 19 had a bigger limit than 18Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
Ok. I've never had enough files to get close to the limit before. This will be my first year using the team packs. Do you remember what the limit was from last year?Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
Limits were overall size and limits on the Cheers/Yells. Size was in GB but not totally sure what they ended up giving us last year. I know it was huge for the first year which is why we had added in MILB players with the info I and others had found. Cheers/Yells has been limited to 150 total which is way too freakin' small. You are really limited to AL or NL at that size. That one is the biggest issue I have. More space would be great for overall size but we will see what happens this year. Really want to know how next year works... does XBox get SotS? How will Microsoft respond to the idea of possible music rights issues. Sony was really good about it. Wouldn't be surprised to see it not show up on XBox, for sure not on the Switch. But man... imagine the Show on PC... and than let us mod the stadiums with actual graphics... I hope that is coming down the pipes.Comment

If The Show does go to PC, not only imagine the actual graphics inside the stadium, but we can actually get real MILB stadiums!Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
Oh ok. Kind of a wait and see thing. I was hoping to be able to get batter music etc for everyone so it's not just generic. but I don't want to sacrifice my own music either. I might have to adjust the plan, but it won't be the end of the world if I have to do so. I can make further adjustments to the list that I've downloaded if need be.
Here is my approach to SOTS:
1. Make a list of what teams have what broadcast music. Then use 1 Fox Sports, 1 CSN, etc for these teams. This will save you at least 25 + slots.
2. The only cheer / jeer I use are the Yankee roll call and I will give the prior season's MVP the MVP chant.Comment

Re: Lowlighthabit & BU1B22 2020 SOTS Packs
The removal of 1 of the 3 themes is a HUGE BUMMER. Pisses me off to be candid.
That Legends pack looks amazing. Great stuff! As always I am very grateful for you guys and the contributions to SOTS. No way I could play The Show without them. Now Playing on PS5:
