I believe that the case is that it will be 3 games vs. LHP specifically.


I love this game, but I am starting to get a little annoyed with it.

I was at the trade deadline about a week ago when the game crashed and it corrupted my save file.

I started fresh a few days ago, and yesterday I updated my game to build 42. After a lengthy play session last night I had finished my first season and the game again crashed just before I went to bed, I had last saved mid playoffs. I just tried loading up my save, and it says that it's either corrupt or from an older version of the game. I'm not sure if it was the crash or downloading the new build, but I now have to start my 3rd franchise in a week due to bad save files.

Not sure how into text sims you are, but I generally backup everytime I save as well. I will also copy save folders into a manual backup folder. I go a little extreme though because I also do heavy customisation, so I need to revert sometimes when I **** up lol.

Yeah I need to be better about that. I just wish that they made it a bit easier. The "backup game" takes longer than a simple save. It would be nice if they let you Save As and just create multiple save files throughout a play through.

It does take time to create the backup in the game. Would it not work to just open the save file location and create a copy of it and place it in a folder created to house your backups? I imagine it would be quicker that way, too.

That's a good point. I'll have to try that. Just move the folder to my desktop and create saves there.

Injury bug has been hitting me hard in ootp 22. The game file that corrupted last week was pretty injury free, but the first game and now this one have not been kind.

On top of the instance I listed a couple weeks ago that plagues the first month of the season in my first attempt.

In my new game I'm at the all star break
4 of my starting pitchers have hit the IL for at least 6 weeks (1 needs tommy john)

3 relievers have hit the IL for at least 4 weeks (1 needs tommy john)

My entire starting outfield has missed over a month of the season

My 3B hit the IL for a month

My starting catcher was was out 6 weeks, I made a trade to bring in someone else who could start, and he got hurt for 6 weeks.

Sounds like my IRL Brewers. We've had 16 total players that have been on the IL this season, and we've just hit May today.

Anyone still noticing really poor AI management of prospects? It was in one of the recent patch notes that they fixed aggressive promotion of prospects, but I'm still seeing a ton of 1st and 2nd round picks spend their draft season in A ball and then get promoted straight to MLB the next year.

I did something a little different this year. Instead of staring with the Cardinals and their current lineup as usual I started as the Cardinals in the year 2000 with an all fictional lineup. I then simmed 21 seasons (for the sake of history) to get us to the current season and then took over the club.

Playing with real players I would get a little too hung up on my real life opinions of certain players and that would influence me to not always make the best decisions.

Two buddies and I are going to either go back and time and replay out the expansion in... 69 was it with 4 teams including the Pilots and Expos? Or we are going to start in 2022 with 4 new teams, us controlling 3 of them.

I'll be the Braves in The Show, so in OOTP for my singleplayer experience I will be the Orioles.

I don't know what to think of the trade we just made. I know we have a surplus of OF's in our system but I really liked Gutierrez and thought he was very solid defensively.
