Not sure if this has been answered or not. I have found that winning helps this out a bunch. I know it sounds like the obvious, but some dudes are just not happy if they are not winning. Also, look at others personalities on the team. A few individual's personalities may be hurting the team.

If they can somehow focus on adding the *option* of user gameplay with even just respectable graphics and continue to grow that, I think in a few years they could be the game that rivals the Show.

If they somehow can eventually match the visuals, they'd someday outsell the Show too.

As long as they stay true to allowing it to still be a baseball sim, they have the potential to completely alter the industry.

And then if they do the same for football...just wow.
Actually, there no longer is an exclusivity deal for baseball, it's just that no one else wants to make a baseball game right now.

Can't tell a pitcher what pitcher to throw but can tell him such things as pitch around batter, pitch to contact, walk batter, hit batter.

You can tell the hitter to take pitches, swing away, bunt, and steal.

Overall, I just manage my team in it's games rarely telling them what to do.

Also, is there a good guide for newcomers that anyone recommends? The contract stuff in the game is pretty complicated.
I simulate a lot. What I tend to do is simulate a series at a time, then evaluate what's going on in the league, make any moves that need to be made, etc.

Imagine if OOTP teamed up with someone to develop gameplay... that would be game over.

This game is so addicting. I'm finishing the Divsion and then going to fully dive into OOTP. I can't wait.

They made it to the ALCS in my first SIM. Kluber finished 23-2 and then blew out his arm in the playoffs. So you know, this game is pretty accurate when it gives Cleveland its usual doses.

As an Indians fan myself, I'd say the idea that you aren't sure whether they are going to start 1-9 and suck the rest of the year, or make the ALCS is spot on.

Keep in mind that any roster update is going to require that you start a new league file.

The game can't apply roster changes to an existing file as that would be impossible to coordinate.

Andrew McCutchen hit under. 200 for the first month of the 2015 season.

This stuff happens. If you're looking for a game that's going to automatically give Donaldson 40 home runs then this isn't the game for you.

Regarding the knuckleball, I think the pbp refers to it as a breaking ball but I would need to check to make sure.

You're 5 games in bud. That's nothing. It happens and I wouldn't fret right now.

I'm in late May and Bautista is hitting something like .150/.240/.350

When he turns it on it will be glorious though.
