Hitting and pitching approaches

I was curious what you guys did with regards to hitting and pitching.

When I'm hitting I usually take pitches until I get 2 strikes. Although if the pitcher has just walked somebody I might swing away.

When pitching I will pitch to contact on lighter hitters, especially if it's a DP situation. I will pitch around the better hitters in run scoring situations.

What do you guys do?

I generally will sim through each at bat when pitching until someone gets on base, then go pitch by pitch. Lots of defensive shifts for anyone who is a pull hitter, or when there is a DP situation.

For hitting, I generally 1 pitch sim each AB unless Im in a strategic situation where I'm trying to steal, bunt, hit and run, etc.
