anyways, when I was with the Yankees, there were so many guys wither hitting at .200 or below. Ik this game is supposed to be a sim, but I just don't think its realistic for guys with their overall at or around 60+ to be doing os terrible. ik it happens in real life, but its unrealistic, for me anyways, for a player such as jacoby ellsbury and a-rod to be at .200 or less the entire season. I love the game but this just frustrates me to no end. do overalls not mean anything?
is it normal for so many guys on the team to be sucking?

I played ootp 16 but not enough of it. I got 17 and I've become addicted. I was doing a game with my Yankees, but I since switched to Cleveland and I'm loving it.

Re: is it normal for so many guys on the team to be sucking?
I have the mobile version and I tried to do a franchise with Oakland and no matter what I did my team was terrible. I would sign guys that were 60 70+ (20-80 scale) and after a few seasons they would all drop to 20. I had only 1 season where I finished .500. It really killed the fun factor of the game for me.

1. Ratings do mean a lot, but you have to remember that this isn't MLB The Show. Unless you have it set on "100% Accurate Scouting," the ratings are likely not exact.
2. Bad seasons happen. A-Rod is old. Ellsbury only hit in the .250's last season, and is off to a .213 start this year. It is certainly possible.
3. OOTP doesn't see "Alex Rodriguez" or "Jacoby Ellsbury," it only sees them as a bunch of numbers.
Just some things to think about. This stuff happens in real life, so it is certainly realistic to happen in a baseball sim.Moderator
