You'll also be able to allocate the budgeting for your scout team and your player development.

And if that's all you want to do, you can delegate everything else. Even if you watch the games, just let your manager make the moves (autoplay) and watch the game from the press box.

Tutorials aren't really in the game. I love that (I hate tutorials), but I can understand why others want more guidance.

But...as in real life, there's not a lot of cut and dry answers or "right" or "wrong" ways to do things. A lot of what OOTP represents at the organizational level is a lot of gray areas - so there's no "do this, get that" type relationships to the game.

What is available is a lot of people both here and at the official OOTP boards that love this game and have played it for years that can help you learn the interface and such and provide their take/ideas on how they approach situations.
Thank you for all of the insight! I'm not really looking for guidance such as "sign this player" or "hire this coach", but more of a system where the game tells me when its time to do this or that. I'd also like for there to be a clearly laid out system where I can set things to be controlled by the AI until I understand them, and then take them over, one by one, as I get more comfortable. Eventually, I want to do it all myself, but I find that if I'm thrown off the deep end for day one, I tend to become overwhelmed and become too frustrated.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

      That the game does.

I'm about to play some, so I can show some screenshots.

This is your manager home page:

I've pulled down the Play menu that let's you jump to the next major event in the season. You can also use this to keep track of what those important dates are in your schedule. Behind that menu are the panels you can customize to set up your home page to show you what's most important to you.

And on the manager options tab:

This is where you can set options for what you want control off or want to delegate.
