OOPT 19 - Perfect Team - Do Tell (Brag, Whine and/or Ask)

I’m creating a spot for everyone to come tell us about your team and how your seasons are going. Cheers!

Absolutely hooked on this mode. I’m a bit over .500 at the moment and fighting to make the playoffs. I have a (3) game lead on my Divison with one week to go! I haven’t paid any money out of pocket but I’m so tempted to.

I highly recommended this mode! It has beginner level (Bronze up to Gold) so you don’t need to worry about playing against whales right out of the gate.

Update: I won my Divison and now I’m off the the 1st round of Playoffs. I don’t have high expectations since I really feel that we overachieved but we shall see.

We did it! We brought the Ship to Dublin!!! WEEK 2 Champions (Bronze)

I have been promoted to the Silver .283 league. Anyone else out there?

Just started my PT on Tuesday so I'm chilling in the Entry Pool until Monday.
Gives me a week to put together a decent squad before the real play starts.
Team is hovering around .525-ish right now

I can see how this will become an addiction.
I can't believe how much PT adds to the OOTP-Baseball experience

I’m holding steady in first place in my Silver Divison with the exact lineup I used in the Bronze league. One tip: use a solid starter as a Long Reliever and Emergency starter.

I've got my entire roster upgraded to Silver (1 Gold), but I feel like the runs for and against are way high for "sim" baseball
Every game seems to have a ridiculously high final score.

It should normalize. How’s your team’s performance so far?

I'm 74-65 in the Entry pool as of right now
added a gold Dave Stieb and a couple higher silver hitters
my pen is still weak and I could use another lefty starter, but things are coming together

Last day of the week only means one thing - nail biting time for me. I'm holding on to hope to win my division or get in as a Wildcard. Spent 2,450 PP to get Gerrit Cole but he's not living up to expectations. I really need to figure out what I will do at 3rd and 1st base next season.

Season 3 in the books - we had a pretty bad September and failed to hit the .500 mark. Finished 4 games behind and in 3rd place in my division. Time to make some adjustments and get back on it again on Monday - Christmas Eve!

As of right now, this is how I finished up in the entry pool and how I'll be rolling into Monday and the real deal season.

Made the playoffs for the second time in three seasons. Got bounced in the first round to a teams that was stacked (good 307 league). I think I have hit my wall with players abilities, so I am going to have to do some managing.

I found out that when I put Paxton on an 85 pitch count, he went from a 5.15 ERA down to a 3.75. That is basically first half vs second half numbers.

Not sure if this is a pattern or but I notice that some players play up when you slot them high in the rotation or lineup and vice-versa, they play down when moved down. I had Carpenter stink when I moved him to the 7 hole and so did Tanaka when he became my 5th starter. Something to keep an eye on.

I hope that you are right! I just dropped Carpenter to the 8 hole in my lineup. I got moved up to Diamond Level, and my team is woefully rated to do.

In other news, I have had great success with Record-Breaker Ichiro. Plays great for only being a 68/69 (cannot remember). Also, I have had a ton of success through silver level with Austin Hays future legend card. He did not play well In Gold.

Yep - I also have that card. And my other sleeper card is Dennis Martinez and he’s currently my 5th starter. His ERA floats in the 3.00 - 4.00 ish.

3 seasons of Bronze here as I'm playing for free and not really playing the market, but I might be able to make a move this time. My rotation got bolstered from All-Star Roy Halladay , and, about a half hour ago, this dude from a regular pack:
