Could OOTP style Franchise survive in The Show?
First, I want to say I'm impressed with OOTP overall. Last night, I was thinking the average MLB The show player wouldn't be able to handle all of the realistic management tasks. I do think that if someday OOTP could work with SD Studios and offer a plug in buy, it would make the perfect baseball game. I'd pay $40 bucks to add the OOTB front office mode to my show franchise. It wouldn't be for everyone, too complex, thoughts?

I think the average MLB The Show player that still plays franchise in this day and age would love if the mode was near the same quality as OOTP. I know I would and the guys I know that play The Show would too. Heck, my buddy that doesn't play franchise, DD only in The Show, plays OOTP for his franchise needs. I think an OOTP type franchise mode would be celebrated by all Show players just about.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

This holds true for all sports games out now. Franchise modes are just swallow AF.
I seen people praise the shows franchise and i looked over reviews and details about it and thought, how the f is this ok?
I pretty much gave up on sports games for this reason. Can't believe I been a member here this longComment

Sadly, I think I am heading in the same direction.
FIFA and MLB TS are gorgeous and I enjoy playing them, a lot.
However, Football Manager and OOTP have opened my eyes as to how wonderful true management can actually be.
Makes me feel like it’s not worth my precious/fleeting free time to actually “play” the former, but rather deeply invest in the latter.

I think the answer is yes it certainly could. I just got this game and am loving it. But I also love actually playing the actual game. While managing the game on OOTP is much more fun than I expected, I do miss playing.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: Could OOTP style Franchise survive in The Show?
I'd like to know how OOTP can use former MLBPA players in their retro seasons? With the Jim Brown suit, and the OBannon suit, I really don't know how this is possible?
I hope beyond hope that MLBtS can someday capture all the history OOTP utilizes. Nothing is missing. Not one thing.
As a retro player only, even if all MLBtS did was port all of that info into a manager only mode, I'd be all over it. I'd would literally give them a blank check. A priceless experience. You want free speech?
