Im looking for a new glove, reccomendations needed

    Hello,

Last year i started playing ball with my friends more. I have been using this Rawlings glove ( this glove must be 8 years old ) and it is garbage. For most of these 8 years i have tried everything to break it in, leather treatments, tying it up with a ball, putting it under my mattress, and through all of this, it has only broken in allitle ( if it helps, its a rawlings RPT-20 ). Ive decided that enough is enough, and i want to buy a new glove.
Here are my needs with it
    1) I am a pitcher
    2) I prefer a larger glove ( like an outfielders glove ) to a smaller traditional pitchers glove
    3) It must be leather, none of this plastic stuff
    4) Would like soft leather ( or as easy to break in as possible, all rawlings gloves i have seen have felt like rocks )
    5) No Rawlings unless someone here says it is a great glove
    6) Would like it to be as cheap as possible

Also i have heard good things about Mizuno, any oppinions?

    Thanks

I got a nike glove last year...i dont remember the type but it was basically already broken in, felt real good...if it wasnt in my bat bag in my car id look it out...its an outfielders glove, black, and was like 55-60$ when I got it just over a year ago

Try ballgloves.com. I found my mitt there (Akadema) at a cheaper price than anywhere else I looked and the transaction was very smooth. Not sure how serious you are about playing, but I would def. recommend a Mizuno if you are looking for a quality glove at a lower price.

If you're a pitcher...I guess you could just buy a crappy (well, not crappy, but not as good) Mizuno glove...I use a Heart of the Hide Pro Jeter Model (retail: $250 CDN), and it is a sick glove, but I wouldn't recommend it for you (unless you want to drop that much). Otherwise, Mizuno gloves are pretty good.

yeah if you arent trying to spend a whole bunch on a glove id recommend Mizuno. I have 3 of their gloves and they have lasted a while,

Are you playing baseball or Softball?

I will sell you my Mizuno glove. It's a 13in model, about 3-4 years old. Really good shape, I bought a 12in Nike that I am currently using.

Thanks for the offer, but my parents dont like the idea of me buying from individuals online.

So I finally bought my glove today! I got a Mizuno GMVP 1200, 12.00 inch. I went to my local sports authority, tried on a bunch of gloves, and this one felt great. It doesnt seem like it will need much breaking in, maybe just allitle oil in the pocket ( its still alot better than my old glove ). I got it onsale for $80 ( $100 regular )

Looks like a nice looking glove. Good choice going with Mizuno.

What level do you play at? I know in college pitchers must have a solid colored glove (And no White or Gray) I don't know if the laces being a different color qualifies or not. Here's the rulebook link , its at the top of page 25

When I was playing Little League I had me a Griffey Jr. glove... BEST glove of my life. It broke in in under 3 days and it was as comfortable as they come.

It looked just like that and was that brand, but I don't remember it being no $300MSRP... LOL

I paid I think $85 for it at Sears. I don't know what happened to it though, my friend borrowed it and he swears it was in his cousin's car that was totaled and impounded.... Nobody ever went to get the stuff out of it. =(
