ASB 2005 - Exapansion Mode
I am thinking of getting the game. In the expanson mode, how many cities are there? Do they have Las Vegas? Will the announcers say the cities name in the game? ThanksMy School's National Championships:

It's a good game. I thought about getting it myself the other day when I saw it was like $10 at Gamestop. I decided not to, but that might change. If I remember correctly, they also let you make leagues entirely full of fake players, which is nice when it's near impossible to update all the current stats. If you're not going to have real players with up to date ratings, you might as well have an entirely fantasy game. I do recall the ratings overall being a little unrealistic for the fake players, though...noticeably smaller (or larger) than normal. -

I'll tell you what..
If I was not spending so much time with MLB...
I'd still be playing ASB2005 EVERYDAY.
That game is sick with all the options available in it's franchise mode.....and expansion mode is an absolute gem to add to a baseball game.
Yes Vegas is in there....I think I did a Vegas Armadillos franchise at one point using one of the fantasy parks that had a ferris wheel or roller coaster in the background of the outfield view.
My favorite expansion was when I created the Brooklyn Outlaws and used the old Ebbets field.
Stadiums look awesome...and there are tons of options that should have to be in every baseball game.
If you actually play the games...the mechanics take some getting used to...but if you play manage only mode....you're good to go with random pitch count!

One other question.....when you choose an expansion team, do you replace one of the existing teams? Thanks....My School's National Championships:

Re: ASB 2005 - Exapansion Mode
Quick question regarding ASB 2005.... Can you play a multiplayer franchise? Three guys and myself want to play a franchise using the fantasy draft... thanks in advance....---------------
Harry Dunne: What's her last name?
Lloyd Christmas: You know, I don't really recall. Uh, it starts with "S". Let's see. Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson?
Harry Dunne: Maybe it's on the briefcase.
Lloyd Christmas: Oh, yeah!
[He reads the manufacturer's name, which is Samsonite]
Lloyd Christmas: Here it is! "Samsonite"! I was way off! I knew it started with an "S" though.

Yes. You can either control 1 team or control them ALL. No in between ground unfortunately.

I don't remember how many cities there are, I am going to say appx 15.
Las Vegas is one of the cities, but they only say the nickname of a new expansion team.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: ASB 2005 - Exapansion Mode
I just got the game and it is pretty good. The game play is not that bad at all. I can't yet say how it compares to the other games MVP, MLB, etc.
One thing I really like is that there are in game saves!!! I did not know that until I bought this game. What an added bonus. I believe this is the only baseball game that allows ingame saves. This should be a mandatory feature on all sports games. My School's National Championships:

the offseason and roster management is this game are the best of any console baseball game that I have ever played. If companies would follow suit with the advanced gameplay then we would really be on to something. Until then, I will probably always prefer ASB 05 to any other baseball title.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
