    MLB Slugfest... anyone?

Is anyone at all interested in this game? I literally just heard about it yesterday, and went looking around for some information regarding the game. The OS interview helped clear some things up for me, but I still feel like this is a "hidden" game.

Does anyone have experience with past Slugfest titles? Any major flaws?

I have played plenty of baseball sim games, and although they are very good, I often find myself getting bored with them over time. I start doing stuff like amping up my hitters just to see how many balls I can nail out of the yard. Or completely juicing the pitchers to see if I can strike out every batter. (Which I came **this** close to doing in MLB06.) So this kind of game seems like it my be up my alley, but only if it is a quality game, and not just a gimmick.

I also really like that it will have a "create-a-team" feature, something I feel is sorely lacking in other baseball games.

So, in short, does anyone actually have an opinion on this game? Anyone have a feel for its overall quality?

    Cheers!
"I was telling George Kottaras behind the plate, 'How do you even catch Wakefield's knuckle?'" Oakland shortstop Orlando Cabrera said. "He was like, 'I just close my eyes.' And I said, 'OK, I'm going to try that one, I'm going to close my eyes and swing.' And nothing."

You and I must be the only ones waiting for this game. There isn't much out there on the game yet. A few movies of gameplay here and there. I do know that'll it will be $20. I am not 100% sure about the release date though. All sites seem to say either at the beginning of May or end of May. I am thinking the latter. I'll keep my eyes open and post what info I find.

I'm still surprised by how little information/excitement there is for this game. I personally am pretty psyched for it.

Here's a decent article on IGN:

        Looks pretty tight!
