New Impressions and Media. ASB 2004

The animations, unfortunately, seem much the same as in past years and it's a little disappointing to think that all the time was spent on presentation aspects instead of improving and adding animations and gameplay fixes.

Hmmm. Let's hope this is not the case when the final build is done.

Btw, I like the new presentation and how the camera follows the ball on the field.

I don't know... I see alot of new stuff in there that I didn't see last year. Appeals to 3rd? That rocks. I think those check-swings were new too, but can't tell... either way, they look great. I personally think ASB's animations last year were the best around, so anything on top of that is just icing on the cake. Just look at the batters IGN... enough said.

Love the new lighting and shadows on the players, that new field looks sweet, and the presentation is totally redone. I dig the new camera after the ball is hit too.

I wish they had shown some movies of the new menus, but the screenshots look pretty cool.

Can't wait to play it.

Another cool thing I just noticed... check out the crowd. In Oakland, the majority of them are wearing green. In St. Louis, they are all wearing red.

That shadowing does a lot for the player models. I saw the game on 60 minutes today, it looked really good. Nice clean interface. It's going to be hard for me to pick only one baseball game this year.

Can one of you guys PM your insider username & password so I can view the Insider stuff? I wanna checkout them PICs.
Hey Will let me get your insider info like u gave me earlier this year dude.
As far as ASB2004 goes, I sure hope they redo the gameplay as it was so damn easy to hit the ball & HRs. Being able to hit so many damn HRs in ASB2003 made coming back so easy & took the fun out of the game. I mean I could sit & call the HRs be4 they happened, I hate cheating comeback logics placed in sports games.
ASB2003 wasn't so bad looking, they modeled the players body poportion wise the best, as Randy Johnson in the game look tall & lanky, other game sshould take note. Going to be hard to pick a Baseball title.

THe one other thing I like is how the players head moves in proportion to his swing. If you look closely at the movies you will see this. There's also a clip of a player looking behind to see what the ump called. Pretty cool!

Guru did you check out the screenshot that shows the GM office?? Trading Block, long-term contracts etc.. Pretty cool eh?

Looks like I'll be picking this one up for sure. Guys next year is going to be the bomb when it comes to baseball games.

Unfortuantely he is. But he tends to forget that begginig for IGN passwords is against forum rules. Man it's what $20? if you can't afford that the you really don't need to see the media that badly.
