I have a few questions as far as OOTP goes here they are
      1. I have the demo downloaded and can only play with fake teams and fake players, does this game have real players and teams??
      2. While playing the background is of Turner Field....can this change depending on who you are playing or is it always Turner Field?
      Any help guys?

I think their is a mod you can DL that allows you to play with any MLB team you want, at any point in time. Not sure how it works. I think I read some people went back and simmed with the '27 Yankees and such. Wish I could elaborate more.

1.) It doesn't have an MLB or an MLBPA license. There are a bunch of users that collaborate on making extensive roster sets; however, and these sets are usually available within the first week or two of release. There is also, as Thrasha alluded to, the Lahman database, which allows you to do historical leagues starting in virtually any year in baseball history.

2.) You can add other ballparks yourself or you can wait for some people to make ballpark mods. That should be included with the first few roster sets.

One of the cool selling points of Puresim 2007 is the inclusion of an animated ball flight. Graphical representation greatly increases the immersion for me. Unfortunately it is too simple, and probably won't be enough to swing people who are on the fence between it and OOTP or Mogul.

I wish OOTP would add a simple animated display. Now that they are partnering with SI, it would be fantastic if they could integrate the Football Manager graphical representation with OOTP. Add in the ability to construct your own ballpark, with collision detection on the walls, and you'd really have something!

Seeing the games "play out" in Football Manager rocks. I hope Puresim is headed in this direction, even though the game is no longer being produced on a full time basis.
