ASB 2004 Has got the same....

Homerun cut scenes like last year according to some of the movies i've seen so far.
Damn ,when i hit a homerun, i don't wanna know its gone as soon as i hit it , i want some drama as to not knowing if i got enough of the ball or not' I WISH THEY WOULD FIX THIS!!!

I agree Motown. Although in some cases there is that drama. You see the baseball and then it ends up just over the wall. It doesn't happen that often but it's there. I dont mind having these cut scenes in the game, but maybe they can tone them down or have an option to enable or disable this. Also maybe adding a variery of camere angels when hitting a homrun would be cool.

    What do the rest think?

Agreed! It's not that I ever had a problem with the HR cut scenes, but just their frequency. I would be quite satisfied with your listed improvements.

I've never really had a problem with the cut scenes. But i've never really had a good game that didn't have them so i guess maybe I would like it without.

I find it interesting that sometimes I look back on the old NES baseball games with reverence and this is one of the reasons. In Baseball stars it showed and overhaed shot of the ball while in flight and also it made the field seem big so it definitely captured the drama of the HR. Tommy LaSOrda (or Tony LaRussa) on the Genesis had the same Camera angle creating the same dramatic effect except in this case wind was involved which added to it. ITs little things like this that the older games captured, intentionally or otherwise, that creates a longing for those games sometimes even though the systems were far inferior.

Correct Jake. I'm still waiting for a game where the wind does come into play. And pushes the icon you stand in across the field. Like in Tony Larussa. But I'm not sure if this has alredy been implemented. Only 2003 baseball game I played has been ASB. I think that HH does it but it only moves it a few inches. And when hitting homers the wind does'nt affect it. They need to bring back the circle on the field that inflates depending how high the ball is in the air. And shrinks when it heading towards the ground. That way you can have the camera focus on the circle and your nearest player instead of the camera floating with the flight of the ball. The circle would add to the excitment of catching. It tells how long you have before you get to the ball.
Anyway, I played 5 games of Baseball Pro 98 this weekend and that is the way they have thier catch zone. Damn, I love that game.

The wind did play a big factor in HH 2003. The icon would move more or less depending on the strength of the wind and homeruns would get brought back or pushed out. It was a pretty cool effect.

I 100% agree. I'm not a fan of the cut scenes either. Maybe if its an absolute bomb but not on every HR. I wanna see the OF running after the ball and think "is he gonna get it?" How about an option to turn it off?

Yea man, if its a bomb, then the cut scenes are ok. i'd still to love to see Sosa's homerun hop or Bond's little spin or glare which ever, any of the players signature moves only on the bombs would be awesome.
T Larussa's baseball showed the cursor up in the stands when they hit it out, i liked that feature... but yea, have the cut scenes on the absolute bombs with their signature move would be OFF DA FREAKIN HOOK!!!!!

Yea and have the wind pulling it further and further back, closer and closer to the wall, no more homeruns that clear the fence by a foot getting a cutscene

I agree the cut scene was a bummer to discover in the movies that have been released.

I hope they fix it for the final version
