What would you do?

I am only going to spend about $50 on baseball games for my PS2 this year and now that I know mlb 2k7 is only $19.99(Didn't play 2k6) and mvp 07 is only $29.99 I was thinking of getting both these games or just only getting mlb the show 07. Im kind of stuck in the middle and cant really decide. What would you do?

Well-just like me,you could be a bit premature on any desicion making. 2K has the MVP guy working on it this year(promising?,maybe) MVP-unless your'e into college baseball-that's a negative. The Show-IF-they improve on the nitpicks this year(which my guess is that's a good posibility)it could be a wise choice if you own a PS2. MVP will be out first-so-you could start reading the opinions of everyone here,even rent it? or read the reviews that will be all over the net. So,knowing all of this-it's not easy to answer your question. So,I'll take my own advice and remember: just like in the real game of baseball "patience always prevails".

well if it were me in your shoes id go with the show and here's why-

ncaa-seems they havent improved alot for the purchase, ill buy it anyway, but for someone only wanting to spend so much, that is a good case for no buy.

2k7-last years game was pretty bad, i doubt they can improve that much in one year, could be but unlikely, leading to the show....

the show- last years was great, with the overall feel that the good dthings will still be good and fun, this should just improve. so thats why i choose this one.

i like the previous post about waiting and reading reviews asking for opinions, that could help as well if you can be patient

Unfortunitly patience is not one of my virtues. I just got back from pre-ordering the show at my local video game store. I own mvp 06 and I figure 07 will be the exact same except for the pitching, and I did not play 2k6 but people say it was awful and at the price of $19.99 I dont think 2k7 will be much better. I believe once feb 26 rolls around Ill be glad I went with the show, but if people say mvp 07 is the best thing since sliced bread I MAY pick it up later on down the road.

Still got a copy of The Show laying around? try firing up a Grapefruit/Cactus league. I'm using the Braves until all the new stuff hits the shelves. BTW-I'm having a blast! Haven't touched this game since September of last year. It's all fresh and fun again. This year I have a much larger tv and everything looks better too.

Still got a copy of The Show laying around? try firing up a Grapefruit/Cactus league. I'm using the Braves until all the new stuff hits the shelves. BTW-I'm having a blast! Sadly, I got rid of my copy of 06 awhile back, but I did see a used copy for $10 while I was pre-ordering 07. I thought about getting it just to get back into the groove of things before 07 hits, but then I thought better of it since 07 is about a month away. I cant wait.
